Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Ernest,Yes I had 13 18580D13s as standard equipment. Put on Hankook 195 75R14 8 ply load range D 2094 lbs at 65psi. Tires fit fine. There is hardly any difference in the width and height increased maybe 1 inch. I have taken the trailer on logging roads with pot holesbad washboard without any issues.With the 13 inch tires on i had 2 clearance on each side and about 7-8 from the top of tire to the wheel well Jayco will not give you any help and Dexter, axle manufacture, sent information but to check the clearances out required a lift which i did not have. Common sense dictated the 14 tires would work and they do. Hope this helps just check the side wall and top clearances.Hope this helpsclearances

Ive had no issues or concerns with these tires over the past year.
purchased 2 Kenda trailer tires, date on tires were 2 months less than 3 years old. I HAVE BEEN PURCHASING TIRES, WHEELS AND OTHER ITEMS FROM E-TRAILER FOR MORE THAN 12YEARS.NEEDLESS TO SAY THE TIRES WERE SHIPPED BACK.As AN e-trailer customer, not at all happy with this purchase.
Trailer camping is seasonal here in Colorado, so it took me a while to get the tires mounted and put to use. Now that they are on the road, I'm very pleased with them and feel much safer traveling on good rubber!
The tires are perfect, just what I needed. The Redarc break controller was easy to install with the plug and play wire harness for my 2013 Tacoma and it works great. Shipping was fast and reliable.
For the packaging the tires each had there strong cardboard box however, the Redarc break controller box was put in with one of the tire boxes and definitely took a light beating and almost fell out of its package. It still works fine and I’m happy to have it but etrailer I don’t think that’s a great idea to just put in with the tire box not protected. It could crack the plastic casing of the break controller housing and mess up its calibration . It makes sense for shipping to put with the tire but at least should give it some protection from the tire.

Order arrived earlier than expected. Order processes was extremely easy. Exactly what we wanted. Will be ordering all our trailer tires from them from here on our.
So I ordered these tires on the 19th and arrived on the 21st. Fast shipping. I havent installed them yet. But will soon. Overall impressions of this tire is very good so far. Came shipped in individual boxes. Will rereview after i get them installed and have a few miles on them.

So far these tires have exceeded my expectations. The wear is minimal and tracks good. No problems.2.5k miles.
Ordering through Etrailer was easy. I was struggling to find the tire for my trailer and they made it easy.
I can't say anything about it, as it was bought to replace a 10 yr old, rotted spare tire on my travel trailer. It balanced out good and still holds air, but has never been on the ground.
Bought 2 of these tires in 2015, just bought another to replace one that had serious blowout at 60 mph after 16,000 miles. Fortunately no damage from the blowout. Very happy with the tires up until then and not sure of cause of the blowout. It was the tire on the passenger side so maybe picked up something on roadside, rumble strips or hitting a curb. I still like the higher air pressure and load capacity so that's why I got another one. I use these on a single axle light weight travel trailer. I'm including pics of damaged tire and comparison of new and used (~20,000 mi.) I think the wear rate is good for a trailer.
I ordered these tires for my rv trailer because my old tires were 7 years old and I had a blowout on one of them. The tires I received are already 2 years old according to the build dates on them. That doesn’t make me happy. I know you say they are kept in a climate controlled warehouse and all that , but who really knows. If I need more tires in the future I’ll look somewhere else.

The most recent order was the Karrier "D" rated tire, which I have ordered 4 others of the same from eTrailer. This is one of the best trailer tires I have used in over 30 years of boating, and one of the few "D" rated 14" tires that meet my load requirements.
These things ride amazing, no flat spots from sitting in the off-season, traction and wear is excellent. I don't see how you could get a better tire or at this price anywhere.
Perfect match to what I had originally. Got it mounted this morning and back on the trailer. Ready for the next adventure.

Delivered sooner than promised! Have made one long 1800 mile road trip with rain and bad roads. Tires performed great. Trailer tracks well. Sat in storage for 4 winter months with no loss of tire pressure. Very satisfied so far.
We've ordered these tires multiple times for a number of different trailers, they last a long time, durable and great prices.
So far I am pleased with my purchase the only problem is the steel valve stem washer does not fit these wheels and the washer needed is a very special size that is not easy to find. I ended up having to mount them with standard stems.

One year in and going strong. No issues at all after several long trips. The tires barely show wear and we are very happy with the purchase!
Quality was what I expected and delivery was even better than expected. I mounted the tire myself and everything worked great. The only issue I have is with the cost of the tire, but what do you do about this crazy inflation? I could not expect anything more from etrailer and will definitely buy from them again!

After checking all tire dealers in Tucson for a trailer tire with a load rating of 2200 lbs I found these at Etrailer! My trailer already has these and I needed a new set. Great tires..
These tires were just what we needed. Long life and higher speed rating. After a couple of trips with our 16' Forest River Wolf Pup these tires have held up beautifully. Running these at 70 mph is no problem with the speed rating.

Were your original rims 13 inch? I have 13 inch rims with ST18580D13 bias ply load range D tires on my Jayco Jayfeather Ultralite 228 trailer and am looking to switch to radials in load range D... These are about as close to the original tire size as I can find. If you did up-size from smaller rims and tires, how is it working out for you?
