Excellent addition. I was having an issue with chaffing the straight oem wiring when towing my gooseneck with my F-550. This coiled wire completely eliminated that problem.

by:

This coiled wire connector is a must for travel trailers as the straight one that came with the trailer drug on the road until it wore through on a busy interstate highway and subsequently locked up the brakes at approximately 60 mph. The way it stopped the truck and trailer I thought the transmission exploded. It would not move until I disconnected the trailer batteries. Make sure you order it long enough as I did not twice! E-Trailer was the best at changing my order before shipping and again when I returned one that I still thought was too short. I still can't say enough good things about how they have treated me through multiple times I have ordered things from them, definitely my go to for anything I need for our trailer.....

by:

Heavy duty all the way. Use some grease on the connector end on the contacts.

First let me say my time is valuable and I “normally” do not answer companies who request that I give a review for their product without compensation. So having said that I have received nothing from anyone except the purchased product I paid good money for. It was easy to install and has performed perfectly! I have a Ford F-250 diesel and a 2016 -37 foot Columbus trailer. I put the coiled cord on the trailer so that the cord would not get tangled in the storage within the bed of the pick-up. The cord is by far more flexible than the original stiff one which came from the manufacturer. I have less problems with the cord coming unattached from the bed of the truck, which means not warning signs on the dash and the breaks continue to work. I had to go through etrailers customer service and parts department and they were extremely helpful to get me the right product. Overall I am extremely happy I am only out the time and effort to write this review, but well worth it if it helps others.

by:

The cable is working well and the coils keep it up and out of the way.

It took about an hour to install. First I mapped the new cable, pins to wire ends. Then mapped the old cable, then installed the new cable.

by:

The outer protective cover is very thick and looks like it will last a long time. Overall it appears to be a high quality item.

by:

Perfect replacement connector for my toy hauler

by:

Good product, shipped quickly

by:

Good Craftsmanship great product easy i nstallation.

by:

Was as i expected it to be and works perfect I had problems with other plugs pulling out on sharp turns and then dragging on the ground, with the coils this does not happen.

by:

Great, easy mod, eliminate excess cable catching on items in bed of truck

by:

Package arrived as expected and in good condition. Products ordered were as depicted and exactly what I needed. Would order from here again....

  • What Wire Gauges Are Used in WesBarg 7-Way RV-Style Connector # WG54006-046
The WesBarg 7-Way RV-Style Connector # WG54006-046 uses several gauges of wire depending on their function. Black and white wires, which provide 12V power and ground respectively, are 10-gauge. The blue wire, typically for a trailer brake circuit, is 12-gauge. All other wires for the lighting functions are 14-gauge. These lighting wires are lighter gauge because they will need to handle less power. Installation of a harness like this on your trailer will be easier with a junction box...

  • Extra Long Coiled RV Style 7-way Connector
We do have longer connectors, like the WesBarg 7-Way, RV-Style Connector # WG54006-046 which is 12 feet long. We also have connectors that aren't coiled like the Bargman 7-Pole, RV-Style Connector - Trailer End # 50-67-103 which is 15 feet long.

  • Parts Needed to Make a Coiled 6-Way Square to 7-Way Blade Adapter
Yes, when making the adapter if you wanted to use the coiled part # WG54006-046 instead of the part # H20042 that is straight you certainly could. Either would work well with the part # 37995 to make the needed adapter.

  • What All is Needed to Get the Brakes Working on the Roadmaster Tow Dolly RM-2050-1?
To get the brakes working on your Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1, you will need a few parts. To start with, you will need to wire a plug to the bare wiring on the # RM-2050-1. For this I suggest the Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector w/ 12' Long Coiled Cable # WG54006-046. This is a nice heavy duty plug and the coiled cable will keep everything up and out of the way. This will then plug into the included 7 Way that comes with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller...

  • 7-Way Male to Female Extension Cord That is Expandable
While our typical 7-way extensions like the Curt Universal 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way Extension # C56080 are a straight cable you can make an extension with a coiled cable. We have the Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector w/ 6' Long Coiled Cable # WG54006-043 or 12' Long Coiled Cable # WG54006-046 that you can wire to a Curt 7-Way RV-Style Trailer Connector # C58155. The coiled cable will help protect the cord from dragging but gives you the expandability of its length. I have included a wiring...

  • Recommended Coiled 7-Way Trailer Connection Wire for 5th Wheel Trailer
The Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector w/ 12' Long Coiled Cable - Trailer End # WG54006-046 is 12 foot long when fully stretched. The coil keeps some slight tension to keep the cable from dragging, but it will work very well for your 5th wheel connection. With your socket on the rear end sidewall, this 12 foot cable will not be overkill for length and will have more than enough travel so I recommend this over a shorter option. The 7-way connector will have a clip that will help keep this...

  • Mounting Hole Dimensions For Pollak 10-Terminal Junction Box # PK52248
The Pollak 10-Terminal Junction Box # PK52248 has mounting holes that are spaced 8-1/16" on center across the box and 3-1/4" on center vertically. The holes are 1/4" in diameter for your mounting hardware. The Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector w/ 12' Long Coiled Cable # WG54006-046 is a great cable to wire into this junction box. The coiled design help to prevent the cord from dragging on the ground.

Yes, the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector part # H20046 and the Bargman 7-Way RV Style Connector part # WG54006-046 will both fit the same 7-way blade style RV trailer connector like the Replacement 7-Way RV-Style Trailer Connector part # A10-7072VP. The design of the the center pin is slightly different as your mentioned but this will have no effect whatsoever on it's compatibility. Therefore, so long as the 7-way has blade style pins which is standard for RV's then they can be swapped...

There are special wiring harnesses used when flat towing a vehicle. The easiest way to integrate a 7-Way would be to use Blue Ox bulb and socket kit # BX8869. These both will hold up well to wear and the protective insulation will handle normal use abrasions very well. Either of these will hold up well to cold weather use so you can do all the snowmobiling you desire without concern of your trailer connections working properly.

  • 7-Way Trailer Wiring Connector to Reach 6 Feet from Junction Box to Vehicle
Stretching the 7-Way Trailer Connector # WG54006-043 to 6 feet isn't the best option for you. It'll reach 6 feet but the coils are fairly tight. I extended it easily to about 4 feet but beyond that it wanted to fight me. It'll loosen up over time of course but I think a longer cable would be better for you. The 12 foot, part # WG54006-046, is a better choice, but then it'll hang lower to the ground.
