  I went out to the warehouse to measure Bulldog trailer jack # BD151101. The overall length and width of the footplate is 7-1/2 x 4 inches. The part that gets welded to the trailer is L-Shaped. The lip that rests on top of the frame it 4-9/16 inches long and 13/16 inches deep. I would weld the lip to the top of the frame the whole length. On the sides you can weld two 1 inch long 3/16 fillet welds per side of the plate.
