Today, we're going to be taking a look at a Replacement Drop Leg with the footplate for square trailer jacks. This is designed as a replacement for your etrailer or Ram Square Direct Weld Jack with a 7000lbs capacity. It's designed for use with the TJD-7000 series, and it can be used for other applications as well. It's going to be a steel construction. It's going to have a nice durable zinc finish on it, so it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It is a square design, so if we take a measurement, outer edge to outer edge, that's going to give us a measurement of right at 2", so it's going to measure 2" by 2". The drop legs are designed to slide into the inner tube of the jack and secure with a pin and clip.
What this does is, it's going to give you more flexibility and adjustment when it comes to the height of your trailer jack. The footplate, it's going to be welded to the bottom of the drop leg. The footplate's going to give us a measurement, go in this direction, of about 6", and then go in this direction, it's going to measure about 8", so it's a nice large size. It's going to do a great job at spreading out the applied weight, even on softer ground, which is going to help prevent sinking. It also helps increase overall stability.
The drop leg is going to offer an additional 13-1/2" of travel. We can tell that by taking a measurement from the center of this hole right here, to the center of this hole. If we do that measurement, we can see that center-on-center is right around 13-1/2", so that means that it's going to be able to be adjusted in about 3-3/8" increments. The 3-3/8" measurement is going to be the distance that we have between each hole, center on center. Taking a look at the overall height, measuring from the bottom of the foot to the top of the tube, that's going to give us a measurement. Looks to be about 17-3/4".

Used a 5/8” implement pin and custom cut sleeve out of 2 1/4” channel. Works great.
