What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Bulldog winch detachable foot plate. So it's gonna fit on a electric jack with a two inch inner diameter for the inner tube. So this is gonna slide right on there and replace maybe an old, worn out foot plate or maybe in our instance, you know, our parking lot that we're gonna take this to is gravel. So the circle, the rounded one wasn't doing us much good, 'cause it was kind of sinking down in there. This is gonna help us out spreading out that footprint and help it stay right where it should be.
Let's check it out. Put it right over there. The inner tube, you line up the hole. Comes with a pin and clip, so that's nice. So if you lost your old one or it worn out, you don't have to worry about getting a new pin and it's all included.
Now you can see this one is taller, so it's gonna add six and three sixteenths of height to your jack, so you can get a little more height out of it and it can handle up to from 1,000 to 5,000 pounds. So our jack's actually rated for 3,500 pounds. So it's right there in there. It's gonna be able to handle it just fine. And now we'll see it lifting up the trailer off the jacks that we had it set up on.
Taking a closer look at the rectangle foot pad here, you can see how much more spread out of that weight. Also the lip on the outside is elevated, so it comes up, that way if it does start to sink a little bit, this gives you the chance to grab as it's going down to kind of keep it from going down any further. Overall, things are gonna work great for your electric jack, especially, like I said, spreading out that footprint and giving you more grip on that soft terrain. So the gravel or mud sinking in there, that's gonna help you out with that. And just remember, don't drive around with that on there.
That's a good way to lose one. So when you got it hooked up to your truck, go ahead and pop off that foot plate and throw it in the back, that way you can just throw it on there when you get back and there's less chance of it coming off when you're going down the road. Includes the attachment pin.This footplate is strong and very heavy duty. My original problem was with my OEM jack that didn't retract far enough. So I bought a new jack with a much shorter retracted length and then add the detachable foot when I park it. When I hook up the trailer to go somewhere, I remove the foot and have no clearance issues. It works perfect.

It works OK, but I would have preferred a pin.

Etrailer immediately sent the proper item. No questions asked, no return required. The replacement is just what I wanted. A year outdoor and no noticable corrosion.
The holes in the footplate for the pin did not line up with the holes to hold it on the jack. I had to use a large drill bit to elongate the holes enough to allow the pin to go in.

This is a standard removable footplate that fits jacks with a 2 inch round inner tube with a 2,000lb to 5,000lb capacity. Since it is not specific to any jack, some modifications may be needed.
I like the Bulldog foot because of the options provided with take off/put on ease to give ground clearance when needed. I like the quality of construction and the finish coat. I doubt that this will ever rust. I have this foot on both of my trailers.
The attached foot looks very clean and it will raise completely up out of the way for traveling and road or gutter dips. This is much better than the wheel. I was always taking the wheel off for the road and putting it back on to park the trailer. With this foot I have eliminated that extra work. My trailers are too heavy to move without being hitched to the truck, so I have no need for the wheel.
I decided to replace my wheel with a shoe since the trailer is too big and heavy to make much use of the wheel. The shoe is fine quality, fit like it should, and works like I had hoped.

Its been a dandy!!
I ordered this Bulldog Detachable Footplate to go with my new Bulldog A-Frame Sidewind tongue jack. I ordered the copper finish because I did not see the silver finish on the website. The salesperson I talked to knew I wanted to match my Bulldog trailer jack. Once again etrailer.com came through and shipped the foot that matched the tongue jack that was on the same order. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the foot is a perfect match for the zinc finish on the tongue jack. The foot saves me from having to crank the jack all the way to the ground every time I hook up and unhook from the trailer. The detachable feature allows me to store the foot in my tool box while towing the trailer. I'm very pleased with the products and service I receive from etrailer.com.
Worked great, but it needs a drain hole for the tube. I got it for our camper and found it to be much better than trying to stack blocks under the jack. Easy to remove for travel if you need the clearance. I took it off when we sold the camper and found the leg tube full of ice from the winter. No issues with the foot holding water, just the leg tube.
Used this to replace wheel on Featherlite bumper pull trailer. Arrived quickly and if very good quality
The footplate arrived on the date promised. Being a bit busy with other projects I didn't get to puting it on until today.
I had to tap the tube to reshape it a bit after our hybrid trailer fell on the ground during the last camping trip. Once rounded, and a little lubricant added, the foot plate fit perfectly. Not having to carry a 8" x 8" block of wood will be wonderful.

Works great on race tracks with sloped pit areas.
Outstanding product. The tube has supporting cut-outs to carry the load of the jack tube from the trailer. This is key. Some of the footplates have no cut-out, so the pin carries the load of the tongue weight. Also, the steel and construction are first rate. Highly recommend this product.
A year ago I purchased a used trailer and it did not have footplate. I did purchase the footplate and it came with a securing pin and a rustproof finish. I have been very happy with the item and recommend it to anyone that needs to upgrade.
I had to replace the trailer jack recently. While I certainly got a deal on the jack, I had failed to order a replacement foot, and the old one was too small. etrailer had the product I wanted and the delivery was fast. To date this part has worked so much better than the one with a wheel. It is much more stable and secure while holding a 7500 lb. boat and trailer in place.
Seems to be well made, nice zinc finish and it comes with the holding pin.

to use on the Bulldog BD1700100301 jack, should cover the differen terrain that I will be jacking my travel trailer on.
perfect to give my trailer more stability on the jack with less worry about movement without the wheel attached. The added height works great with those less that even grounds also
This product is of good quality and works as it should. I did drill a couple of holes in the base to allow water to drain but other than that, it is perfect. I always get good quality and wonderful service from etrailer.

Worked great for our new jack. I drilled a couple of small holes in the bottom to let the water out & keep it from rusting out.
This footplate is well made and just what we were looking for. It worked great for our pop up trailer with no issues.
