The collar automatically aligns the hitch pin holes on your favorite 2-1/2" accessory and a 2-1/2" trailer hitch receiver every time you install it. It prevents you from having to bend down or stick your finger into the hole to check for alignment. It also eases the burden of installing a heavy accessory that's hard to wiggle forward or back in small increments.
The stop collar easily installs on most 2-1/2" accessories and once installed, it doesn't have to be adjusted - set it and forget it. To install, just slide the collar onto the accessory's 2-1/2" shank, insert the shank into your hitch, align the pin holes, slide the collar up against your hitch, and tighten down both hand knobs. If there are any impediments simply unscrew the knobs, split the collar into 2 pieces, and put it back together past the point of impediment.

Today, we're going to take a look at the inaudible 00:00:04 trailer hitch pin alignment collar for ball mounts and pintle mounds on a 2 1/2" hitch. This hitch pin alignment collar will install onto your 2 1/2" hitch accessory, and it'll allow you to easily align the hitch pin hole on the shank of that accessory with the hitch pin hole that's on your hitch.For this demonstration, I've actually pulled here, you can see, a 2 1/2" hitch, and I've pulled a 2 1/2" pintle mount that goes in the hitch, and it comes with the pin and the clip. Basically, this alignment collar will eliminate you having to get down on your hands and knees to align the hitch pin holes to install the pin and clip. It'll work perfectly on ball mounts, pintle hitch mounts, and other 2 1/2" hitch accessory. It's a very easy, one-time installation on most 2 1/2" hitch mounted accessories.I want to show you how that works.
I'm going to go ahead and zoom in, or move to the front here. What I'm going to show you is, here's your 2 1/2" pintle mount that's designed to slide right into your 2 1/2" hitch opening. The problem is, lots of times when you try to align the hitch pin hole that's on the shank with the hitch pin hole, with this hitch being up underneath the car, you usually got to get down and try to align your pin up to go into the hole.To eliminate that problem, what we have here, is you'll take this alignment collar and loosen the knobs on both sides to where it's loose enough that it will be able to slide, just like that, right onto your shank. Once you get it all the way on there, leave it loose. Go ahead and install this in there, and then, using your hitch pin, push your shank back.
Once you inaudible 00:01:44 hole, go ahead and put your pin in there, and then take your clip and go ahead and put your clip on there, and slide that over. Once you get your clip on there, if you know that's the position you need, then what you'll do is take this alignment collar, slide it all the way up against the hitch receiver opening, and then go ahead and tighten these knobs on each side, and you probably want to do it equally so you get equal pressure on there. Make sure it's up against the hitch. Once you get it tightened down all the way, what you can do is, when you go to pull out your clip, and then pull out your pin, then you can slide out your pintle mount, and you'll leave the hitch alignment collar attached on there, just like that.The next time you go to use it, instead of having to look and to get up underneath inaudible 00:02:38 align your hitch pin up, just slide this all the way in, up against as far as it goes, and you should be able to take your pin, put it in the hole, and it'll go right across. Put your clip on and you're ready to go, so it saves you the hassle of trying to line those holes up; makes it real easy.
Then you can slide this out. Now, I've installed this with the knobs up; you can install it with the knobs down, if you prefer. Whichever works for your situation, if you have any interference or anything, but it'll work either way. Then what you can do, you can leave it on there. If you do need to remove it and put it on something else, just loosen it and do the same arrangement to line it up.
What's nice is, if you buy a few extra of these, you can put one on each accessory or ball mount, pintle mount, whichever you have. To remove it, all you have to do is loosen both knobs. Once it gets loose enough, go ahead and slide it off, just like that.This is a nice steel construction; has a nice black powder coat finish to prevent any rust or corrosion. Worked Very well, really worked well when putting something in the receiver that was awkward or heavy.
Great idea, but the clamping mechanism doesn’t hold up to a 2.5 inch receiver and a 10,000 lb travel trailer. I have to readjust the clamp every second or third time I use it. Bigger bolts and a larger grip in the nut portion would make a big difference.
With the anti-rattle square ring install onto the shank of my ball mount, it acts as an alignment bracket thus rendering this collar unnecessary. Otherwise, would have worked perfectly for me.
Great product, ensures that I don't push my hitch too far into the receiver when we get ready to tow. Just makes setup a little easier.

Simple, effective design with perfect function. Slip the collar around your hitch bar before inserting your hitch into the receiver. Pin your hitch. Butt the collar against the receiver and tighten. Thereafter, hitch-pin hole alignment is always perfect. Excellent value.
It’s the perfect mechanism for those trailer hitches that weigh as much as a railroad coupler. Put your hitch on with the pin inserted in the hole, set the hitch pin alignment collar on and you never have to push and pull that monster to get the pin aligned again. Just slide it on up to the collar and bingo your hitch pin aligned. Absolutely ingenious!

I recently purchased a Bully Hitch w/ light from you, but forgot to add to that order the etrailer Hitch Pin Alignment Collar that tightens up the hitch from
not completely fitting my receiver.
The most difficult part of installing this trailer wiring kit was removing all of the junk I accumulated in my rear compartment to access the connector harness.
Once I did it only took like 3 minutes to completely install and put the floor back in place.
It works flawlessly, but here's a little hint - do not allow your trailer 4-pin connector to be stored outside without a rubber insulating boot on ot to prevent corrosion or wasps from making a mud nest inside it. I use aluminum foil wrapped around in and dielectric grease.

Works well. I use it on a heavy e-bike rack. Speeds up putting the rack on. I push it still it stops and I know I am lined up for pin.
While I have yet to install the collar, it looks exactly like what I need to align the hitch as it is a struggle to get the pin through the receiver without getting on my knees and using a screwdriver to line up the holes. This should do the trick!
Very happy with this hitch. Arrived in perfect condition. I took it to Uhaul to get it installed, and they were also happy with it. They said it was a perfect fit for my Sportage, and they installed it in double quick time, apparently. I use the hitch to carry my 2-bike rack and I've never had a problem. Very sturdy.
Quality product. Easy to install. There is also online videos available for product information and installation.
Shipping box had some damage but that is expected with cardboard boxes. Other than a cut in the safety cable, everything was in excellent condition.
