Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Flint Hill Goods adjustable ball mount. This is gonna slide into your two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver on your tow vehicle and then it will provide the ball platform for your hitch ball. This does have a one inch diameter hole here, so it will work with your hitch ball that has a one inch diameter shank. So then once you have your hitch ball hooked up, you can hook up to your trailer, hook your trailer up to your tow vehicle, so you can tow your trailer. This does have a sturdy steel construction, so it's going to give us a gross towing weight capacity of 5,000 pounds.
That's the amount of weight of your trailer plus anything that you have loaded on your trailer and it is going to have a max tongue weight of 500 pounds. That's the amount of pressure pushing down on your hitch ball, so you want to make sure that you're adjusting the weight that you have in your trailer, so you're not gonna exceed that 500 pound tongue weight. This is gonna be adjustable, so that you can accommodate different trailer heights. Of course, you always wanna make sure that your trailer's gonna be level as you're towing, so if you are gonna be hooking up to a new trailer or switching between trailers, it is gonna be nice to be able to adjust that height, so you can make sure that that trailer's gonna be level. So very simple to adjust this, we just pull out the pin here, and then this will slide up and down there.
You can see we've got all these different adjustment holes and these are spaced about an inch and a half apart. So that's gonna give us a nice range of adjustments. So if we have this set in the drop position like it is here, at the most extreme position from the top inside edge of our receiver tube down to the ball platform, which is about where your coupler's gonna sit, we're gonna have a maximum drop of eight inches. And so if your trailer sits about eight inches lower then the top inside edge of your hitch receiver tube, this will accommodate that. Then we'll be able to go down to a three inch drop, if we have it in the drop position like this.
So there's incremental changes between there. Then we can also use it in the rise position like this. So at our max rise, if we get that lifted up like so, the rise is gonna be about seven and a quarter of an inch. Again, from the top inside edge of your receiver tube to about where your coupler's gonna sit. So if your coupler on your trailer sits a little bit higher than your hitch, that will accommodate that as well.
So very simple to get that all lined up and then pass your clip through your pin to secure it to make sure that your trailer's gonna be that correct ride height. They do include one pin and clip for securing your platform to the shank here. They're also gonna include another pin and clip for securing your shank to your hitch receiver on your vehicle. So you won't have to worry about purchasing that separately, although we do also have locking pins, if you wanted to add a little extra security, make sure that no one's gonna be able to come along, pull off your clip and pull out your pin and take off. With your ball mount, you can add on a locking pin. We do have those available here at etrailer.com, but they are sold separately. So if you're wanting that, you can go ahead and find those here. Now I wanna give you a few measurements to make sure that this is gonna work for you. So you can see we've got our pinhole here. That's going to be pretty consistent measurement for most hitches. But wanna show you that this gusset here sits about four inches in front of that pinhole. So make sure that wherever your pinhole is, you're gonna have enough clearance, and that the edge of your receiver tube is gonna allow that, gusset there. The distance from our center of our hitchpin hole to the center of our ball hole here, is right about, 12 inches. As you can see from the center here to the center there, it's about 12 inches for us. And our overall length. have to get out my Lixer tape measure. We're gonna be looking at, approximately 16 and a quarter of an inch from the very front of our ball mount up here, to the very backside of our shank, about 16 and a quarter of an inch. As I said, this does have a sturdy steel construction, so it is gonna hold up really well for us. We also have a corrosion resistant black powder coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion. Obviously, you're gonna be using this outdoors, so you wanna make sure that it's gonna hold up well for you. And overall, I think this is gonna be a great way to make sure that you can hook up to different trailers with different heights. If you're going to hook up to a trailer you've never used before, sometimes it can be a little bit nerve-wracking to know if it's gonna be level for you or not. Product arrived quickly, the price was right, and the customer service by Paula S. Was super! The mount is well made and appears to be very durable. The welds are very well done and there is very little “play” in the adjustable ball mount. Bonus-mount came with 2 pins and safety clips.

I bought this hitch for my 2013 Ford Edge cause the boat trailer looked like it was riding a little low. This fit perfectly and cleared the bumper with no problem. Easy adjusting too!
Just received the product itself - haven't used it to tow, but confirmed that it mounts to our hitch and adjusts as expected and all is as it should be.
The best part about my experience with this order was the excellent customer service I received from the eTrailer team. I had ordered a different adjustable ball mount, but I was contacted by the eTrailer team to let me know that it would not be available until September, which would have been too late for what I need. The representative offered an alternate mount and answered my questions about it when we spoke on the phone. I agreed to replace what I had originally ordered with the recommended replacement. After we got off the phone, I not only got confirmation of the modified order, but was told that they had expedited the shipping so that I would have it in a few days (which I did). I have ordered from eTrailer previously and each time everything has been exactly as expected. I'd highly recommend doing business with this company, which clearly gets the importance of great customer service.
This adjustable height trailer hitch allowed me to set the height of the ball mount to 16.5 inches off the ground to match my bass boat trailer hitch perfectly. I do not plan on adjusting it to other heights, so I replaced the hitch pin with a grade 8 bolt with nylock nut to fix it to the height I need.

IT WORKS VERY GOOD LOVE IT

This is a straight forward product. Easily fit with my Curt 2 inch hitch for 2010 Sienna. Since I don't know how high my usage application will be, I bought this adjustable ball hitch. Now it will fit and level my load perfectly every time. Also the Sienna has a lower hitch height, I will only use this adjustable ball hitch in the rise position. With 6.25 inch adjustable height, I'm sure this will service many of my various needs! Great product!
I needed 2 inch hitch ball mount with at least a 6 inch rise. This worked perfectly. It came with two pins. It will be used to two my boom lift with my RTV; it has worked well so far.
It is working well for me right now. Gives me the choice to raise or lower for clearance when going in and out of deep pitch drive ways, which keep my trailer stand from scraping the concrete.

The MT70068 hitch works great. The flexibility of adjustment solves the problem of towing different trailers at a level stance.

The install was super easy after watching the videos. We used it frequently on group camping trips to haul all our gear and our families gear. I am was happy that I got to install it myself.
