Note: This adapter is designed to flat tow a vehicle only. Do not use to tow a trailer. When using with a hitch-mounted accessory, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, the tongue weight of your hitch will be reduced by at least 50 percent.
Most tow systems require some sort of hitch accessory to either raise or lower the tow bar to an appropriate level. The "Safe Zone" for a motor-home-mounted tow bar ranges from 3" above level to 3" below. Car-mounted models must be absolutely level. This high-low adapter can provide you with the necessary drop or desired rise to achieve a level tow bar setup.

Hollow shank is lightweight.Very, very good quality product. It works perfectly for towing my Jeep Wrangler with a good room of towing capacity for extra safety. I also purchased the Towmaster locks to go with this and they are of super good quality too. Just push on the locks and you're good to go.
Had to put on Motorhome because Jeep was 4" higher and roadmaster recommends tow bar to be within 3" high or low. Had to extend safety cables

Just received, but looks like it will be perfect for dropping my RV hitch height 2" to match up with the baseplate on my Jeep Wrangler. Ordered on Sunday and here by mid-day Wed with regular shipping. Great! Does just what it needs to do.
The locking pins keyed alike while be convenient! The 2" drop/rise adapter according to the label stuck to it says it is only rated for 100lb tongue wt, but your item description says 200lb tongue wt??.

Roadmaster has recently completed further testing that has found that the TW capacity of the RM-072-2 is 200 lbs. Going forward, they will be stickered with the new capacity, but the older examples are safe to use with up to 200 lbs of tongue weight.

Placed order with Road Master for this Road Master High-Low Drop and they notified me it would be two to four weeks. Canceled order with Road Master and ordered from etrailer. Ordered on Monday and received on Thursday. The two inch rise and ten inch extension was exactly what I needed to pull my CRV behind my B-Plus RV. Needed to raise tow bar two inches to have the three inches minimum height difference and the ten inch extension was needed to clear bicycle rack. Actually called etrailer B4 ordering and talked with a very nice and courteous lady. Thanks etrailer, you made my day.
This works perfectly for lowering the hitch height and increasing distance so that my buke rack can fold down and out of the way of my jeep's tailgate.
Old 4" drop hitch was too much for the right fit with our new car. Not everyone carries the 2" drop hitch. We're close to etrailer's supply center and the order was delivered the day after I placed it. Great service and the fit with the towbar was just right!
I am using this to level out my Jayco Jay Feather travel trailer. It did not have enough clearance in back for me to back into my driveway. It does now.

disappointed that I paid this much for a hunk of metal and it didn't include a hitch pin.
5 stars all the way. Installation instructions were very good. Everything worked out perfectly and I am very happy with the entire unit. I also appreciate that Steve at etrailer was always available to answer any questions I had.
The offset is a bit longer than I expected. But after I installed it I was able to still use my safety cables and wire harness. The offset I believe will help a lot with handling while pulling my Jeep behind the motor home.
This is my second order, and both times the delivery time was great. It was delivered at my door step and I didnt have to go driving around town looking for what I needed. Pricing has been excellent on the Items also. I have already setup the receiver and it was exactly what I needed.

Unit was ordered along with a Falcon All-Terrain tow bar. Both arrived 3 days before expected. Excellent quality at a reasonable price. Shipping service was great.
The RoadMaster High-Low Drop-2" was of high quality material and finish. I was in a bind and etrailer came through with quick delivery.

I just received the drop receiver, slipped it into the coach receiver, nice fit, & quality appearance. Won't be actually using it for a few weeks, as were getting things rigged for use. Thanks for a great unit.
