Just as advertised and solves my problem of trailer tongue level to hitch position. Delivered on schedule with no hiccups. Fits perfectly in the 2" factory receiver on my Jeep JKU. The 2" ball in the picture is a reused one not new which is why it has rust on it.

I placed my order at 11:24 am Monday. At 1:07 pm, I was informed that it had shipped. Furthermore, though I requested Standard shipping, George went ahead and sent it Express. I got my ball mount today, three days after I ordered it. Now if that's not the way business should be done, then what is? I'm all about getting the job accomplished, sooner the better, and etrailer.com is my kind of company! I have bookmarked their site, and I won't hesitate to shop with them again. BTW, the ball mount does exactly what I needed done, my boat trailer is nice and level now, not pointed at the sky like before!

by:

Bought this for an etrailer hitch I installed on my 2014 VW Jetta sportwagen to tow a dirt bike trailer. Fits the receiver fine (unlike Uhaul's product) and with it inverted gets it high enough to connect with the trailer at 21" using the Curt 2" ball.

by:

The quality of this part is , top notch.
The
speed of shipping was fast !
Communication on the shipping was fantastic!
I highly recommend buying from etrailer !

I needed a 8" drop ball mount for my truck / trailer set up. No retail stores in my area had one with this much drop. Etrailer had exactly what I needed. 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Thank you for following up. All the products I bought are still working well and I am 100 satisfied. I still use them all except the tirewheel which is no fault of the product, I bought it as a spare for my trailer and knock on wood have never had to use it.

- Got excellent advice from Bill and ordered my Curt hitch, ball mount, ball and T-One wiring harness on Saturday.
- Everything arrived on Wednesday.
- The construction and quality of all the parts appears to be excellent.
- Installed everything on Saturday. The etrailer video on installing the wiring was invaluable.
- Learned how to back up with a trailer on Sunday!

Exactly what I needed for my truck to pull my camper. This make the camper ride more level, which helps when off road

Jake O.

Well, I had to sell camper so I have an extra ball mount in case I need it.

by:

What a good looking hitch! I like its straight down drop design and it is beefy. I got it really fast. Good service. I'll be using it to haul a camper. It solved the problem of an 8 inch drop nicely.

The brake controller and vehicle specific wiring look good too. The installation looks super simple and it will also be used to haul a camper for its electric brake control. Man you all deliver your product fast.

by:

I pull most of the heavier things with a gooseneck hitch, but it seams to work great for a few thousand pounds. This was an unusual drop that I was looking for, and I'm always able to find what I'm looking for at etrailer.com.

by:

What I ordered, on time, at the best price around.
It appears to be well-made, with a good protective coating.

I need the 8" drop to pull a rather low motorcycle trailer with
my F150 pickup. eTrailer had the widest range of ball mounts - not many vendors have the 8" drop, let alone at eTrailer's price.

by:

Actually have it flipped over to raise the height of the ball because the hitch is low compared to the height of the trailer.

by:

Great website, very informative about each product.
The how to videos make the installation of the product easy to understand.
Product was delivered on time and undamaged.
This product was installed on a 2016 Honda Odyssey, with the low ground clearance of a mini van I needed a hitch that would set my trailer to the correct height to make my trailer level while towing. this product corrected that issue for me.

by:

Perfect fit; nice piece. The support gusset is close to (~1/8") but does not touch the bumper cover on my 2015 Sedan Police Interceptor with the Draw-tite Class III receiver hitch. Approximately 18" from ball mount to ground in the rise position.

by:

The mount and ball assembly are perfect for my application. I also found the website help and technical info extremely beneficial in determing exactly what I needed for the application. The info on how to measure the required "drop" for the mount and the correct capacity of the mount and ball were were clear and easy to follow.

by:

I need to drop the hitch on my Toyota Sequoia down to 12 inches for my small utility trailer, and this ball mount worked perfectly. The mount is very well constructed and of high quality.

by:

Worked great to pull my 5"x8" Carry-On cargo trailer from my 2011 Yukon XL. And eTrailer shipped this very quickly, in time for our weekend trip.

FYI -- Mount has 1" hole.

This review is more about etrailer.com. The ball mount is heavy and well built. But I mainly wanted to review the company, etrailer.com. This is one of the best online companies I have ever dealt with, and I buy a lot of stuff online. They are responsive, their website is very intuitive to make sure you get all the accessories you may need, and they ship out almost right after you place your order. Good job, guys. Keep up the good work. You have a forever customer here.

by:

Perfect Ball Mount for my Honda Pilot to transition to my Camper to keep it level while towing. The quality insures that it will last a lifetime. etrailer will always be my go to store for my towing needs.

by:

I use this for my truck front trailer hitch (also purchased from etrailer.com) to drive (not back) my boat into the garage.

by:

Etrailer is always my first choice!

by:

This is a heavy duty & well built ball riser. I’m using this on a golf cart to keep trailers level while I move them. I’ve had very good experience in all my purchases from etrailer. Thank you again.

by:

Just what I wanted worked out exactly like I had planned was very happy with the way it came up had to use an extender and the drop to clear my tailgates this was to install in my 1953 Chevy pickup with a hot rod trailer worked out very well very happy

by:

Exactly what I needed. Great product at a great price!

by:

Rather simple product but appears to be built well. Worked great for raising the height of my ball mount because the Kia Sorento sits to low to utilize a straight shank. The people at etrailer were also great!!!

by:

Excellent service and quick delivery. I have ordered from etrailer twice and have had great experiences both times. Good prices and great information available on their products.
Thanks

  • Recommended Ball Mount With 7 Inches of Rise for a 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe
The Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2793 does have the needed 7 inches of rise, but from the center of the pin hole to the closest edge of the upright gusset is only 3 3/4 inches, so I don't think it will work with your vehicle, unfortunately. That being said, we do have a couple other options available for you. The Brophy # EA80 has the needed 7 inches of rise, but at the closest point it is 4 1/8 inches to the center of the pin hole. This does rise pretty quickly and may still work for you, but...

  • Towing Capacity of 2014 Dodge Charger V6
According to the owner's manual, the 2014 Dodge Charger has a 1000 lb towing capacity, regardless of the engine it's equipped with. For a hitch, I'd recommend the Curt Class III, part # C13093. You won't be able to take full advantage of the capacity of the hitch itself, but I would still recommend going with the more popular 2 inch receiver provided by a Class III hitch because there's a much larger selection of hitch mounted accessories available for a Class III hitch. • Ball Mount for a 2014 Toyota RAV4 to Tow a Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer Level
The ball mount that you use is going to depend on the trailer hitch you have on your 2014 Toyota RAV4. If it has a 2 inch receiver opening then it will not be a problem. But if it is a 1-1/4 inch opening that makes it a Class I or II hitch and you are supposed to use a specific ball mount indicated by the hitch manufacturer. Since Yakima is measuring that 22 inches to the top of the ball and all of the ball mounts are based on measuring to the bottom of the coupler instead you would actually...

  • Ball Mount and Ball Recommendation for 2005 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab V8 and Boat Trailer
For your 2005 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab V8, I recommend the Draw-Tite Aluminum Ball Mount # 4283 based on the coupler height you gave. It is a Class III ball mount with a 7 inch rise with a tow rating of 12,000 lbs. This mount will be a good fit based on your coupler height with the hitch height of the Hidden Hitch and Draw-Tite trailer hitches you referenced as it will provide a level tow for your boat trailer. If you would prefer a more economic option, I would recommend the Draw-Tite 6-3/4...

  • Ball Mount to Use for 6 inch Drop When Using Curt Rockerball
The place to measure on your trailer for picking out correct rise/drop is actually from the bottom of the coupler lip. So since you measured from the top of where the ball fits into the coupler you'd need to subtract about 2 inches from that so you'd have 17 inches. So difference between 23 inches and 17 inches is 6 inches which means you'd need a drop of inches. So since you have a Curt Rockerball that adds 2 inches you'd need a 8 inch drop then. So for that you'd want the part # C45338...

  • Recommended Ball Mount for a Subaru Ascent
I have a couple of options for you depending on the height of your Subaru Ascent's receiver. If the top of your hitch ball needs to be at 18-1/2" for your travel trailer then you will need a ball mount with rise not drop. From what I can tell the receiver height is anywhere from 12" - 13" above the ground. I have listed a couple of ball mounts below that will get you to the right height. Both of them have plenty of capacity for your Safari Condi Alto 1723 trailer. You will want to be...

Anytime an extender is installed on a hitch receiver, it reduces the towing capacity and tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. • Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2009 Subaru Tribeca Towing a Casita Trailer with Sway Control
I believe what you have is friction style sway control. All you will need is a Reese Sway-Control Bracket, # RP26003. This will fit on 2 inch ball mounts. Or, for 1-1/4 inch ball mounts, use # RP26005. If your 2009 Subaru Tribeca has a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver, the recommended ball mount is # AMSC2. If it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver, the recommended ball mount is # C45521. I have included a link to our ball mount FAQ article for you to view.
