Recommended Ball Mount With 7 Inches of Rise for a 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe
Question:
Hi I need a 2 inch 7 inch rise ball mount that will fit my 2012 Santa Fe Limited and not hit my bumper. I see many but the reinforcing steel from the shank to the ball body dont indicate how long from the center of the hitch hole to the end of the shank it is. I need a shank length of 4 1/2 to 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to past my bumper. I hope I explained that well. Thanks for your time. Thanks again.

The Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2793 does have the needed 7 inches of rise, but from the center of the pin hole to the closest edge of the upright gusset is only 3 3/4 inches, so I don't think it will work with your vehicle, unfortunately. That being said, we do have a couple other options available for you.
The Brophy # EA80 has the needed 7 inches of rise, but at the closest point it is 4 1/8 inches to the center of the pin hole. This does rise pretty quickly and may still work for you, but it is cutting it pretty close.
The option we have that is going to offer the most space will be the Reese Adjustable Ball Mount # RP21141. From the center of the pin hole to the gusset is 6 inches, offering you the most space. This does only have 6 1/4 inches of rise though, so you would need to pair it with something like the Curt 1 Inch Rise Hitch Ball # C40033 to get up to the 7 inches. This is a 2 inch ball, but if you needed a 1 7/8 inch, the Curt # C40031 would cover that.
