Corrosion-resistant ball mount is 9-3/8" long and fits 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers.

I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once.
I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball.
This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

Still glad I purchased a new mount instead of trying to change ball sizes.

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed.

This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience. The employees are so helpful, the video tutorials on the web site are fantastic and the prices are great. etrailer.com is the first place I go to look for trailer and towing supplies!

The ball mount and ball that I bought last year has worked out well, and is still in great shape. But Ive come to expect that etrailer.com will sell me a quality product. Thats just what they do!

by:

I needed a ball mount that would keep the tongue lock away from the spare tire on my Jeep.
This mount gave me just enough clearance so the tire cover clears.
Handled a small trailer with 1500 # of rock / concrete easily.

Great addition for the trailer.

Great service, fast shipping.

Thanks

Rick

Yes, I still like it

by:

Holds the ball very well and fits into the receiver socket nicely.

by:

Customer service is great, returns are trouble free and fast. The hitch is very solid, and came with all hardware needed to install. I had to return a defective wire harness. Replacement worked fine. I put this on my 04 Chrysler 300M, a car that really wasn't built for towing, and the hitch works great !!

I got an excellent product at a fair price, from a company that stands behind what they sell.

I'm glad I made my purchase with etrailer.com.

by:

Online ordering was a breeze and the item shipped within a day or two of ordering. etrailers let me know via e-mail when the order was filled and provided a tracking number.

The drawbar was well packaged and quality is perfect....good welds, solid paint to prevent corrosion and the holes for the pin and ball are perfectly sized...no slop and not too tight. I would purchase again from etrailer

by:

A good product! This is the second hitch I have installed using etrailer and it went as well as the first. Not being a super skilled Tech it took longer than expected, but for me it was a project that needed to be done, and I enjoy a good project when it comes together, no matter if it took a little longer due to an average person's tool inventory and simple jack stands and floor jacks. The instruction videos are the best I have seen as of yet. If you enjoy working with your hands, I recommend etrailer products!

by:

This, and the trailer hitch I purchased earlier are good, solid products. There was a bit of very hard paint preventing the hitch key from going through the hole, mut a half minute with a round file cleaned it out. The paint is TOUGH so I guess that will be good for long wear.

The tongue had blown through the end of the shipping package, but there was no damage.

The whole experience with etrailers.com was excellent, especially with the video instructions.

by:

Excellent quality and fits the car (distance from fender to trailer)
I would recommend.

It works perfect for the Volvo S60 when towing a small camper tenttrailer.

by:

It was easy to use the website to find the correct hitch parts for my car and to order. They arrived when expected and in an intact box, well packaged. Was able to easily install in under an hour.

Everything is still working great. Thanks.

by:

I have been impressed with you guys so far. Your prices are good and to have what I need. I went on {a different website}, but I like to deal with people, and talk to them when its needed, {that other website} is a selling machine, they are good with returns, but they really don't know their products, and rely on reviews to give you answers. Anyway, I will be calling you guys very soon to buy a wiring harness, and I,d like to pick one of your technicians brain for the right harness. Thanks Again for being out there

by:

I really like this ball mount for my Ford Fusion.
This is a solid piece of steel.
I did turn it upside down to get the trailer tongue to look ok.

I bought this with the Curt C12091 hitch for the Ford Fusion.

by:

Though etrailer recommended the 7 1/4" length for the Focus ST models, measuring the length required is more than 7 1/4. The 9 3/8" length is a perfect match for the bumper profile.

by:

Works great

Thank you so much for your response
and follow up to my recent order. I didn't expect to receive my Curt Hitch and drawbar order as quickly is as did. Thank you again for your attention and promptness in processing my order. It's been a pleasure to deal with your company and I would urge people to do business with you.

by:

I'm using this to haul small trailer with Chevrolet Equinox. Hitch on this SUV is rated at 3500 lbs. max. Product is well made.

by:

It had a few burs that had to be smoothed off to fit in the receiver and for the pin to go through but other than that it should be good to go for the kayak trailer.

by:

The hitch was exactly what I needed and works great for the receiver on the car. Shipment was quick and the quality and price were great.

by:

Product and services were excellent. The eTrailer website is clear and concise, and offer DIY videos for all products. Major plus !!

etrailer service technicians are very professional and follow up on calls and deliveries. Prices are very competitive, with shipping costs included.

I've recommended to friends who were also very satisfied.

Thanks

The Class II Drawbar is working great with our 2016 Chev. Equinox. Thanks.

by:

Very well made ball mount. Nice, clean welds. Good looking powder coating. Made in the USA and reasonably priced. What is there not to like about Curt products?

by:

A nice little receiver adapter that is strong. Good quality, nothing to worry about here.

by:

The hitch package I installed on my 05 Camry is holding up great and pulls my bass tracker like a charm!

by:

Received everything I ordered in just 2 days. Second time I used etrailer.com and would have no problem recommending them or using them again.

by:

Product arrived perfectly packed and a day early! Fit exactly as described. I was able to install in the perscribed time.

I am very pleased with the company and the product!!

  • Recommended Draw Bar Ball Mount For Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver On 2001 Honda Accord
Your 2001 Honda Accord is only able to use a Class I hitch receiver, so the rise and drop of your ball mount is extremely limited. I recommend the Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitch - 2-1/8" Rise, 2-3/4" Drop # 3592 or the Curt Class II Drawbar - 2-5/8" Rise, 3-1/4" Drop # C45016. Either option will work with a Class I hitch. For the Curt drawbar you need the pin and clip as well, # F-4. You will also need a hitch ball like # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch hitch...

  • How to Tow a Motorcycle with a 2008 Dodge Caliber
According to owner's manual for your 2008 Dodge Caliber the gross trailer (GTW) and tongue weight (TW) rating of your vehicle with the 2.0L I4 engine is 1,000 lbs and 150 lbs respectively. Therefore, I cannot recommend you use this vehicle to haul your motorcycle (206 lbs) and carrier (36 lbs) as this would exceed the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle. The only way I can offer you to haul your motorcycle is on the back of a trailer. In order to use this trailer you would need a trailer...

I strongly recommend verifying this information by locating the towing section in your copy of the vehicle owner's manual. If you decide to tow a small motorcycle trailer, I recommend looking at the Curt Class I Receiver Hitch # C11190. This trailer hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will provide a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I have included the installation details for you to...

The Tow Ready # 118587 is the Trailer wiring harness I'd recommend for your 2016 Mazda 6. The installation is mainly plug and play, the harness will plug in on the driver's and passenger side, inline between the vehicle's taillight assemblies and the wiring harness that feeds them. A wire will need to be ran under the vehicle up to the engine compartment, where the wire will connect to the positive battery terminal. The Curt # C11356 trailer hitch does not have a ball mount or hitch ball...

  • Can 2012 Nissan Altima Carry Hitch-Mounted Carrier With Electric Wheelchair
I did some research on your 2012 Altima and found that the towing capacity of your vehicle is 1,000 lbs and the maximum tongue weight is 100 lbs. With the weight of the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier MT70106 at 85 lbs, that would not leave enough capacity for the electric wheelchair you said you need to carry. My best recommendation is to have a hitch installed and find a small trailer to load the wheelchair on. The hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite Sportframe, part # 24796. This...

  • Recommended Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2005 Honda Accord
You are correct in how the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver -Class I - 1-1/4" # C11290 is mounted. This hitch has been tested to hold a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs and a maximum trailer towing weight of 2,000 lbs when loaded. A riding lawn mower on a small trailer is probably at close to the maximum capacity of this hitch, so I recommend calculating the weights before doing this as your owners manual states 1000 lbs towing max and 100 lbs tongue weight.
