Trailer Hitch Fit for 2015 Ford Fusion Energi
Question:
Hello, The manual stares do not tow a trailer with the Hybrid or Energi. I’ve seen online that people are doing it. Do you guys have any experience with it? Thanks

Officially we have to recommend that you always stay with the recommendation of the manufacturer on towing as they are who the warranty of the vehicle is with and they are who would have tested the vehicle for towing.
That being said we realize that a lot of people ignore their owners manual and tow with vehicles that aren't designed for it and allegedly do not have any problems. So our hitch manufacturers make hitches for these vehicles as there is a demand for them but it's a situation where the customer has to assume responsibility.
So we have components that will allow you to tow with your 2015 Ford Fusion Energi. For that you'd want the Curt hitch part # C12091 and part # 118574 for trailer wiring.
Since you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
