Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2015 VW GTI Autobahn 4 Door
Question:
Im interested in a hitch for my 2015 VW GTI and I want one that is as tight to the bumper as possible - so that its not very visible when not in use. Im considering the Draw Tite 24925 and the Hidden Hitch 60362. They look to be exactly the same. Is there a difference between the two? Thanks!

There is currently one hitch that we offer for your 2015 VW GTI Autobahn. It's the Curt hitch # C11412. It is custom fit for your GTI but it will be visible when not in use because the receiver tube is flush with the crossbar. This is a Class-I hitch and the maximum gross trailer weight is 2,000 pounds and tongue weight maximum is 200 pounds.
The trailer hitches 24925 (Draw-Tite, no longer available) and 60362 (Hidden Hitch, no longer available) you referenced fit a 2015 VW Golf and not your 2015 VW GTI Autobahn.
If you plan on using the hitch # C11355 for a bike rack (don't exceed 2 bikes) or cargo carrier, ensure it's Class-I rated.
If you plan on doing any light duty towing always revert to your Owners Manual for the maximum towing and tongue weight capacity and you will always go with the lowest rated component.
With that being said, I recommend the ball mount # C45016 as it fits 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receivers. For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball, go with # 19256. For a 2-inch hitch ball # 19258 will work fine.
I added a helpful article about installing a trailer hitch and a couple videos for you.
