Quickly and easily tie down your motorcycle or ATV with these tie-downs. The heavy-duty straps extend up to 6' long and ratchet down tight. The large, vinyl-coated S-hooks with keepers easily snap over 1" tubing. 1,200 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty ratchet strap easily secures your motorcycle or ATV during trailering
  • Extra-long, steel S-hooks lock around 1" tubing on your motorcycle or ATV
    • Attach to handlebars or cargo racks
    • Vinyl coating protects your cargo and trailer from scuffs and scratches
    • Built-in keepers ensure that the hooks stay connected to the anchor
  • Rubber coating on ratchet handle provides a good grip
  • Zinc-coated steel ratchet resists wear and corrosion
  • Sturdy, red polyester webbing provides long-lasting performance

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 1" wide x 6' long
  • Maximum load strength (break strength): 1,200 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 400 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 tie-down straps
  • 90-Day limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

These Erickson tie-downs feature a standard ratchet strap with an extra-long hook that is designed to easily grab 1" diameter tubing that is typically found on motorcycles and ATVs. Simply hook one end of the strap to your trailer's tie-down point and hook the other end over your motorcycle's or ATV's handlebar or cargo rack. Ratchet the strap until it's tight and you're ready to hit the road.

Glad to find this because local stores sell only ratchet ties with a long strap on the fixed side, and few with safety hooks.

I ordered two Erickson Ratcheting Motorcycle Tie-Down Straps w Long Safety Hooks. I knew they were rated at 400 lbs and my bike weight is much more than that but I used them in addition to two additional Tie-Down Straps with a higher rating. These I planned on using as a safety precaution. I had an incident where the higher rated strap hook broke but as I suspected these smaller straps actually saved the day for me. They held my HD Ultra Classic with no problem as I made the last leg of my trip back from Sturgis, SD. An outstanding product - thank you!

It has been more than a year and I would buy these again.

Works great to secure a large dog crate. We took it on a 3000 mile round trip and had no issues. Very secure and easy to use

Perfect for securing our dogs crate in our SUV. We travel each summer about 1500 miles one way and these straps have held tight.

by:

The perfect tie-down for motorcycles. The safety hook insures that the strap will stay hooked even if it should become a little loose or the motorcycle bounces slightly. The deep hook fits a 1" handlebar perfectly.

Used the tie-downs while trailering two bikes to South Dakota last August. They worked as expected. Still like the product as described before.

by:

Looks like a quality tiedown ratchet, I like the locking J hooks. I bought these to use on my motorcycle trailer. If these ever where out I'll order another set. Everything I've ordered in the past with etrailer is top quality, that's why I keep coming back.

Tie down straps working out great!

by:

E Trailer had product specifications for ratchet ties that cannot be found in Harbor Freight or in Home Depot. Latching hooks that can't flop off the eyebolt, and quality ratchet easy to use.

The straps work well, but are difficult to hook under the bike chassis when astride. So I use two friction straps to hook it while I get off, then from the ground I walk around the trailer to affix the two safety hook Erick sons at the front, and two at the rear. Works fine as long as I remember to reverse the sequence of disconnecting before climbing in the trailer and onto the bike.

by:

No problem with these, they actually hold down a tool chest in the hybrid trailer. Try to find short as designed straps is almost impossible unless you cut the long ones and then the web frays

by:

I purchased a pair of Erickson ratchet tie downs a year ago to support our tree service equipment on trailers. So far they've worked great. Very happy.

by:

Custom trailer carrying electric motorcycle. All local tie-downs had 2-3 foot length on non-winding hook, placing the ratchet out where it hits opther items. And cannot adjust for very short distances. E-Trailer had ratchet ties wirth close-in stationary hook, and also the safety clip pn the hooks. Can't get that at any hardware or building material store.

by:

This combination of tie downs is a lot easier and convenient to secure vehicles when hauling on my 25 foot gooseneck trailer.

by:

I bought a couple sets of these for hauling motorcycles in safety. Im very impressed with the quality and construction. Nice knowing if you hit a big bump that your hooks wont come free of the attachment

by:

Very easy to use, they lock automatical ly

by:

The straps worked very well in securing my motor cycle. I traveled over 800 miles and the straps held the motorcycle securely in place. They were easy to use.

by:

Nice tie downs and very affordable!
Love
the safety hook feature and just the rite length for riding down our enduro's

by:

These are very nice straps. The ratchets work smoothly and hold firmly. I highly recommend them.

by:

The lenght from the ratchet to the ratchet hook is nice and short. Most others I've tried there so long there's no room to tighten them down as the ratchet will be to close to your triple tree. Works great with soft ties!

by:

Webbing frayed after about half dozen uses. Plastic coating on hooks cracked and fell off.

by:

FAST shipping, couldn't be happier. Love the safety feature, as last time I used a set of straps, one set came off because it didnt have this feature. Great customer service, and quick ship. Will def buy from again.

by:

Yes, all good. It is so helpful that you have instant access top the previous order so I can get the needeed items again without searching for the part number. And it came very fast in the post office mail.

Well yes, those work well, though need lubrication of the mechanism a lot. Ties down electric motorcycle in partially enclosed trailer for winter RV travel. I may have to order those again in a few weeks after I prep the equipment for this years trip.

by:

Haven't even opened the packages yet, But What can go wrong? Hahaha
I'm sure they will be fine for tying down my 850lb motorcycle. I bought two pairs.

by:

Like the safety hooks, keeps one end in place while working on the other end.

by:

These straps work perfect for my motorcycle and quad. Great quality and highly recommended.

by:

Very pleased with the products I purchased from etrailer. Great site and even better customer service.

everything was great worked good thank you

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendations for 2014 Toyota Prius
You'd first want to equip your Prius for towing by installing a trailer hitch. I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch, part # 24847. For a trailer wiring harness, use part # C56147. You'll also need a drawbar, part # 3594 and the appropriately sized trailer ball. For a 1-7/8 inch ball, use # 19256 or for a 2 inch ball, use # 19258. Keep in mind that Toyota didn't recommend using certain Prius model years for towing, so you'll want to consult your owner's manual for clarification. Part...

You do not need a bumper to add a hitch and carrier for your scooter. I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702 or the # UF35-946403 which adjusts from 47-1/8 to 77 inches. Either of these hitch receivers will mount to your motorhome frame so a bumper is not needed. This can be used with thetrailer Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs # e98873 for your scooter. I recommend the Motorcycle Soft Loops # 06303 along with the Erickson...

  • How to Carry Vespa Scooter on 2014 Jeep Compass
The Curt cargo carrier, part # C18109 would be suitable for carrying that amount of weight, but it's not recommended that a scooter such as a Vespa be carried on it. A scooter like your Vespa has a very strong weight bias to the rear. These carriers are meant to have the weight evenly distributed from side to side, and having more than 2/3 of the weight concentrated on one side of the carrier's center point will place torquing forces on that carrier as well as the hitch that would cause...

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2005 Toyota Prius to Carry a 10 ft Ladder
The roof rack that I would recommend for your 2005 Toyota Prius is the Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack, # RR82VR. A large concern with customers that use roof racks on fuel efficient cars is the fact that roof racks negatively impact their fuel economy. These aerodynamic crossbars will still have an effect on your gas mileage, but not as much as square or round crossbars would. For your vehicle, this roof rack has a weight capacity of 110 lbs. I strongly recommend that you check the roof weight...

Thank you for your Rola bike rack purchase from etrailer. There will always be some degree of random motion with any hitch mount bike rack, though some will be more stable than others. You can try loading your bikes so that the heaviest ones are nearest the hitch; this will help to reduce the pendulum effect - the tendency for side-to-side movement. You may also want to try using some type of stabilizing strap. Curt offers their # 18050 but there are many types available including handy...

  • Hitch Scooter Carrier for 2018 Honda PCX 150 Scooter for Use on Class B Motorhome
Any accessory that is to be mounted on the back of an RV - either a motorhome like your Class B or on a trailer or camper - has to be made and rated specifically for that type of use. The reason is that the greater distance between the axle and hitch on such vehicles means more leverage (and more stress) will be applied to that accessory item. On passenger cars the axle-to-hitch distance is much shorter, just a few feet, and this of course puts less stress on the items. You also want to...

  • Transporting Motorcycle with 2008 Jeep Wrangler
The hitch mounted tray-style motorcycle carriers we offer require the hitch they're mounted in to have a tongue weight capacity of at least 500 lbs. Since all the hitches offered for your Wrangler have a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs, I wouldn't recommend a tray style carrier. Your best bet would be to use a small utility trailer like # K2MMT5X7 outfitted with a wheel chock like # 337WC1467A and tie down straps like # EM05710 and # 06303.

Your 2018 Subaru Forester has a towing capacity of 1500 lbs. Normally the manufacturer suggests the tongue weight rating as 10% of that, so 150 lbs. You will want to check your owners manual to confirm. The trailer hitch is definitely strong enough to handle your motorcycle carrier and 210 lb motorcycle. Yes, the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, # UF48-979033, will hold your 2004 Vespa ET2 on your 1996 Toyota Tacoma with a 2 inch hitch. I did some research on your scooter and it has a dry weight of 216 lbs and a wheel width of just under 5 inches, so it would fit the dimensions and capacity of the motorcycle carrier. I would also recommend using a set of Motorcycle Tie-Down Straps, # EM05710, to secure your scooter to the bike rack.
