Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the retractable tie-down strap by Buyers Products. Now, this is a normal tie-down strap that's going to allow you to secure your ladder rack, a motorcycle, boat, or even an ATV, or whatever your cargo is. It's going to give you those S Hooks, so that you can easily get that connected and secured, so you can hold those down. Unlike most of your ratchet straps, these are going to retract back into the base, so it's going to be very organized. You're not going to have to worry about trying to get them untangled so that they don't bind up as you're ratcheting them down or anything like that.

It's going to be very. It's the shit, having them stored in that little cylinder there. It is spring loaded, as you can see, so if I we're to let this go, it's going to retract on its own back into place.We do have a nice rubber handle here. That's going to give us plenty of grip, make it easy for us to hold on here, and ratchet that down, to make sure it's nice tight. This does have a 3,000 pound weight capacity.

Keep in mind, your working load limit is 1,000 pounds, just to give you plenty of buffer room before anything we're to have issues. If I we're to pull this out here, you can see, we do have different settings, different teeth there.As we put it all the way to the front like that, that's going to allow us to pull out all that we need, and then move it back a little bit. That will give us our ratcheting function, so that we can get that all tightened down in place. I'll show you that, give you that nice ratcheting option there, and then.. Easily retracts back into place, so it's very, very easy to use.

If you're anything like me, I almost always have a hard time with ratcheting straps; it always gets kinked or twisted in there, and then I have to pull it out. So this is going to be a really nice option for you. I really, really like this.It does also have the bolt-on feature, so the side of our strap, it has that as hook there, but then it is mounted onto our cylinder with a bolt. You could remove the strap and bolt this into place. If you we're always going to use this strap, say on your trailer or something, it's always going to need to be in the same place.

You can just bolt it in place so that you don't have to worry about putting a strap on every time, And it will always be there where you need it, and it's going to retract into place. So very, very convenient option here if you are wanting to hold something down into place.This strap is two inches, right So in our. What's here two inches, and then we're going to have 10 feet of length. Should do a good job for a lot of your projects. Keep in mind, there are larger options for your tie-down straps available, but with the 10 foot length, I think this is going to be great for a lot of different applications, and it's just so convenient.
