Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Erickson Ratchet Tie Down Straps with safety hooks. These tie downs let you secure gear in your truck bed, trailer or cargo carrier. The ratcheting mechanism makes it easy to tighten the straps down, and it makes it easy to maintain tension on the straps. Located on each ratcheting mechanism is red release lever. That is designed to disengage the ratchets when you're ready to unload.Also, on each hook, it features a safety cap. This helps prevent the hooks from disconnecting from the anchor points, so they easily snap on and off the end of each hook.

And they also can be used to prevent the hooks from catching on, or scratching, the cargoThe ratcheting handle makes it really easy and comfortable to use the mechanism. So it's like a coated steel, so it offers an easy grip design. The ratcheting mechanism is a steel construction, features protective finishing to keep it safe from rust and corrosion, and the S-hooks are vinyl coated so that protects the steel hooks from the elements, and it also prevents them from damaging, or scratching, or scuffing your gear.The strap is made from durable polyester. It's designed to resist tears and abrasions. It's a nice, strong, durable design.

Four ratchet straps are included with this kit. Each strap measures one inch wide by 15 feet long. The hook opening, that's from this point here, to this point here, so that gap right there is one and one sixteenth of an inch wide. Push it all the way down, that's your stowed, or travel, position. And then when you're ready to release tension, you use that release lever, and you open the ratcheting mechanism to the fully open position, and then you can pull on the hook end, and that's going to allow you to release tension and undo the strap.
