Heavy-duty tie-down straps pair quick-release action with a retractable design for easy loading and unloading. Any unused strap automatically retracts into the housing, and you can quickly release each strap by pushing a button. 4,000 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty tie-downs let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Retractable straps automatically wind up into the built-in housings with the push of a button
    • Keeps excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Handles are easy to grip
  • Push buttons on ratchets quickly and easily release straps when you're ready to unload
  • Zinc-coated steel bodies are corrosion resistant
  • S-hooks have hardened steel cores to ensure that they won't bend or flex
  • Vinyl coating on S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your cargo

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 6' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,333 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 4,000 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps
  • 90-Day warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

The idea of how these retractable ratchet straps work is great. Problem is that once load is strapped down tight getting mechanism to release is difficult. I have had to move side x side to take tension off strap to be able to fully release it. One strap did fail after about 6 uses. etrailer helped with warranty. Replacement package had to straps in it to replace the one I sent back. Good thing since a second strap has now failed. I really wanted these to work as designed.

Have 1 ratchet strap left out of 4. All have failed in a year with limited use. I learned fast with these to have a backup strap with me. Great strap in theory but they just don’t hold up.

by:

The Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Strap feature is fantastic. I purchase 4 straps. Over the past year plus, I utilized them 2 to 6 times a month to tie down my subcompact tractor on the trailer. They have been quick, easy to use, and very strong. Unfortunately, one is inoperable, a second one is beginning to be inoperable. The button to release the tension and wind the strap stopped working. I had to move my tractor a bit in order to dismount it. For the $[XX] each price tag the durability is not there. Due to the durability, I rate it average otherwise I would have rated it Excellent.

Three of the units are still going strong.

by:

This retractable are great - saves a lot of time. I am into collecting garden tractors and trailer 6 to shows. With these units, I don't have to pick and choose particular straps depending on distance between units (we trailer with attachments so different lengths), nor does it make any difference from load to load how the units are loaded. Great product!!

Very easy to use and just very handy.

by:

Product looks good, well machined. Is as expected. Not yet installed on boat trailer

by:

Good straps. I have used these for over 14 years on hauling Polaris Rangers.

by:

Very satisfied with the straps. I use them in a harsh environment where it can be extremely dusty or I’ve had them completely covered in mud. I just wash them off and squirt a little WD-40 on them and they are good to go. Would definitely recommend.

by:

I would highly recommend this product. They are exactly what I was looking for and what was advertised.
Perfect length and heavy enough to use on your heavier trailer loads. Perfect for hauling your ATV.

by:

These hold the my boat to the trailer well. I haven't had any issues with the latching system or anything else. I would recommend these for anyone looking for a quality set of ratchet straps.

by:

We use these straps to secure our side by side on our trailer . First of al the length is perfect — secondly the quick release is awesome and also helps to roll them up easily and store . Due to the length and design there’s no extra strap to have to tie etc . The durability is excellent. These have made tying and securing on our trailer tremendously easy .I highly recommend these straps !!!

I havent used them much, but the few times I have, I very much appreciated not having to struggle with excess strap!

by:

Call etrailer Rep to discuss order since the strap was back ordered. Received the strap and it was just what we were looking for since we have a large heavy boat, 7500 lbs.

Thank you for great service!

Great straps!!

by:

I HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT THESE BEFORE AND STILL CONSIDER THEM TO BE AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. HOWEVER--I HAVE A COUPLE OF THESE (I OWN TEN) THAT WANT TO SEIZE UP--THAT IS, YOU CAN'T GET THEM TO RETRACT WITHOUT USING SOME CHANNEL LOCKS TO COMPRESS THE MECHANISM SO THAT IT WILL RELEASE. THIS IS A BIT OF A PAIN THAT (IN MY VIEW) ERICKSON NEEDS TO CORRECT.

Bill D.

3/9/2018

I still like the Erickson tie-downs. They are quite stout for tying down my Yamaha Wolverine and Grizzlies. However, they are sometimes reluctant to retract and I find I need an assist from my channel locks to compress them enough to release. Regardless, they are still far superior to any cam-lock tie-down and do not have the annoying tails of standard ratchet tie-downs.

by:

Been using these a while, so I bought a couple more here. Obviously there's no stray strapping to deal with in this design. I find the tool is well (sturdily) constructed, functions consistently (no false releases or anything strange), and is a pleasure to use and just works great so far.

eTrailer has been a great place to buy things as well... stuff ships quickly, is packaged professionally, and the folks are helpful. (thanks George!).

Love E.

1/15/2016

Still Lovin em after a year. Everything I wrote still stands. Thank you eTrailer.

by:

IN MY VIEW, THESE ARE THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD AS APPLIES TO TIE DOWNS. NO LOOSE "TAIL" HANGING OUT TO FLAP IN THE BREEZE. JUST THE RIGHT LENGTH FOR ATV/UTV USE. VERY ADAPTABLE AND I DON'T NEED ANOTHER BODY NOW TO COMPRESS THE SUSPENSION ON THE ATV OR UTV, EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

Bill D.

9/23/2017

The tie down straps are still working well. However, a couple of them occasionally require the use of channel lock pliers to compress the release mechanism to unlock the strap. This is annoying but my channel lock work around has resolved the issue.

by:

These straps make it so fast and easy when using our side by side on our trailer. When we go on group rides, we pull up with our 14’ tilt trailer. Take those self retracting straps off in about 2 minutes and drive our Rzr off the trailer and ready to go. Same thing when the ride is over. We are loaded up and ready to go in a few minutes. One of our neighbors has a set after seeing that. So nice not to have to worry about excess strap coming loose or flapping around when driving. These things are awesome, highly recommend.

by:

We've had these for a few months. Roughly four. They are on our boat trailer and have been dunked in the water exactly one time! They no longer retract. Not what I was expecting. A season? Sure. One time in the water is just sad. That'll teach me to stray from the tied and true. Don't waste your money on these!

by:

We haul dirt bikes on a trailer. These tie-downs
are an enormous improvement in ease of use
making them safer to handle. The auto retract
makes storage very simple and convenient without straps dangling and getting tangled in
storage. These are definitely the NEXT GENERATION of tie downs that everyone should own!

by:

With the help of Angela H I ordered an E2 load leveling hitch and 8 inch drop receiver. Angela walked me through the process by having me get the right measurements and trailer weights to make sure I was getting what I needed, she was right on, I got what I needed and it works beautifully. I have only had great products and experiences ordering through etrailer.com. If your not positive exactly what you need, call them they have experts that are more than willing to help.

by:

I have not had a chance to use the straps yet because of the cold weather here. Looking at the way they are constructed they look like they will work just as I had hoped. They will be used to hold my John Deere Gator sprayer on my car hauler.

Excellent

by:

I have been very impressed with the high quality of these tie-downs. The ratchet system and housing are very stout. I purchased these because I could remove the short hook section and bolt them directly to my boat trailer. One feature I was not expecting was that the ratchet handle, when fully seated, disengages the ratchet gear and seats into a locked position. It was a feature I didn't even know I wanted, but I am really happy to have. So far, so good! I would definitely buy again!

by:

I appreciate your product, it is exactly what I needed, great job on how you do business, no improvement needed,

Thank you, Larry Judd

Having used these over and over again during the last year, I can honestly say these are the best straps and easiest to operate Ive ever owned. Another etrailer sold product that is priced well for the consumer.

by:

The straps work great! I really like the push button release and the self retraction. I also like the fact that there are no loose ends to have to tie up to keep from flying in the wind. Great design!

I use the straps to tie my motorcycle down on my trailer. They are working out great. I really like that there are no loose straps flying around since they retract into the ratchet device. They are heavy duty and hold the load well.

  • Does the DeeZee Specialty Series ATV Toolbox # DZM206 Need to be Secured with Ratchet Straps
The DeeZee Specialty Series ATV Toolbox # DZM206 that you referenced actually comes with mounting hardware to secure it. You can also use ratchet straps, like part # 34414, if you like but it is not necessary. I have attached the installation instructions for you to check out as well.

  • Carrying a Kawasaki KLR250 Motorcycle in a Trailer
From my research your Kawasaki measures over 7 feet from end to end. Depending on the style of trailer you might be able to get it in a 4 x 6 because the wheelbase is only about 4-3/4 feet but there's going to be some overhang. In my opinion you're much better off with an 8 foot trailer. To secure the bike you'll want to use straps like part # 34414 and a chock like part # TWSPWM.
