The swiveling snap hooks on these tie-downs rotate 360 degrees so you can easily attach them to anchor points without twisting the straps. Corrosion-resistant e-coated ratchets with ergonomic handles maintain tension on straps. 2,000 lbs Max load.

Specs:
Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
Each of these sturdy tie-downs has a swiveling snap hook on one end. These hooks rotate 360 degrees so that you can turn them in any direction needed to attach to anchor points. This means that you can secure the tie-downs over your cargo without twisting or pulling the straps out of place - no matter how the anchor points are oriented in your trailer or truck bed.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EM05715. These are the Erickson Big Hook Ratchet Tie-Down Straps. They're going to feature swivel hooks located at one end of each strap. With this part number you are going to get two straps. You're going to get this unit and then you're going to get this right here. This is how it comes straight out of the package. I already have this one a little bit loosened up that way we can go over some of the features here in the video. Tie-down straps are going to let you secure your cargo in your truck bed or trailer.
They're get to have when it comes to securing cargo. This one is going to feature a swivel and snap hook that rotates 360 degrees. It's going to let you easily secure it to an anchor point without having to worry about twisting the strap. It's going to have the spring loaded safety latches. That's going to prevent accidental disconnecting or unhooking. This right here is going to be your sturdy ratchet mechanism.
It's going to offer two positions. You're going to have your ratcheting position. Then you're going to have a fully open position. This is going to allow you to loosen up the strap when you're done with whatever it is that you're securing or when you're done securing your load simply just open it up all the way and it's going to allow you to disengage the strap from the ratcheting mechanism. It's going to feature a ergonomic rubber handle. It's going to provide a comfort grip, it's got the finger indentations in there so you can easily get a hold on it and operate it. It's got the release right here, very easy to find.
It's very natural for your fingers to be in that position. That's a great advantage to have as well. Here on this end, this is the ratcheting end, you're going to have a smaller hook but it's still going to have the keeper. That way everything stays securely connected to the anchor point. All the hardware on this unit has a black eco finish on it so it's going to be able to stand up really well against rust and corrosion. The strap on this unit is going to measure a inch and a half wide. Overall strap length is going to measure eight feet long per strap.
It's made from a durable polyester webbing that is black with a nice bright orange center stripe. When it comes to the capacity of this, the safe working load limit is going to be 667 pounds, the maximum load or break strength is going to be 2,000 pounds. Always keep in mind that tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe work and load limit. You want to make sure that the weight of the secured cargo does not exceed the combined work and load limit of the straps being used. It's always recommended that you use straps in pairs. It's going to feature a d-ring as well, located right here. That way since this loop or this hook is smaller, if you can't get this around your anchor point, you can simply loop it around your anchor point, snap it to the d-ring and create a loop attachment. That's a great advantage to have as well. Again with this part number you're going to get two straps. Last thing I want to show you is I just want to show you how to assemble the straps together. We're simply going to take the open end here, we have the inside and the outside of our mechanism. We're going to take the strap through the outside here, we're taking it through the slots, right there in that middle bar and simply just doing a U-turn with it and bringing it right back over top. With it installed in that way we're going to easily be able to ratchet until we get our load tight. If we have a lot of excess strap we can simply tie it off or secure it. In order to disengage the strap from the ratcheting mechanism, simply open it up, all the way to this position here and then what you can do is you can just pull on the strap and that's going to allow it to release from the mechanism. That's going to do it for our review of part number EM05715. These are the Erickson Big Hook Ratchet Tie-Down Straps. .

The swiveling snap hooks on these tie-downs rotate 360 degrees so you can easily attach them to anchor points without twisting the straps. Corrosion-resistant e-coated ratchets with ergonomic handles maintain tension on straps. 2,000 lbs Max load.I love these straps, I use them to transport my Harley’s to bike rallies and they’ve been the only one that have lasted me the longest.
Great product, easy to use and quicker than normal ratchet straps to setup.
I was attracted to the swivel hooks and for the most part they worked quite well but the self closing portion on the flat hooks were both broken by the end of the trip. (Jammed) I removed those and it’s an open hook now so I will attach it differently so it’s safe I guess there were too many bumps in the road!
Use: motorcycle on trailer.
Like always, I am very happy to work with etrailer for my hauling needs. The products are as expect, service was great and quick. I also like the product videos which helps a lot to make the products arrive as expected to reduce mail order surprises. As for the straps, they are very nice and should work as intended.
Considering all that has been going on with shipping and having things in stock, these guys came through exceptionally well.
We'll be getting all our trailer supplies from etrailer.
Thank you!!
The product is just what I was looking for! I use them to strap down my 12-foot set on top fishing kayak, which is a market you all should go after! There are tens of thousands of kayak anglers across the country. Love the product!!
These are very heavy duty tie downs
The material used for the strap is slick and they loosen up. The snap part sticks and does not hold whatever you put in the loop.
