Erickson Ratchet Straps - EM34410

Oversize ratchets on these heavy-duty tie-downs have rubber-coated handles and release levers so you can easily tighten and loosen the straps. Corrosion-resistant double S-hooks are vinyl coated to help prevent scratches on cargo. 4,000 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty tie-down straps let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Oversize ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Rubber handles provide grip
  • Release levers on ratchets let you loosen straps when you're ready to unload
  • Vinyl coating on double S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your gear

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 10' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,333 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 4,000 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

This ratchet is overkill for the small boat we trailer, but I wouldn't want to do without it. It is very solidly built and works well. The only quibble I have is that if you pull the strap out all the way (such that the two sides are separate), reattaching it is not intuitive. But a quick look at the site video remedies that. A fine product.

Still very good after a year. The straps are pretty much indestructible.

Better Than Expected . These will Hold The Load Down On The Trailer With No Worry . I have been fighting chains and binders for years and still will on occasion but these will be my back up . I have two pair now .

Great No problems .

by:

These straps are just what I wanted. I’m very pleased.

by:

They work great when hauling my 1940 Fo rd.

by:

These are my favorite ratchet straps. This is my second purchase. Four will tie down just about anything in a truck bed or car hauler. Good smooth mechanisms. Easier to open after than one-inch straps.

by:

Use to hold down my 2300lb AC COBRA once in the enclosed hauling trailer... works, well, easy to use and I custom cut them to length... for this specific use. etrailer is the best! Quick, pleasant and knowledgeable...I am fortunate as they are about 3 miles from me... very pleased step up and grab yourself a set!

by:

Heavy Duty straps.

by:

The Erickson tie-down straps were delivered very quickly to my front door via UPS. The straps themselves are quite stout looking in appearance. Coupled with the oversized ratchets, I expect the straps to be every bit as strong as advertised. The ratchets are well constructed, and the release mechanisms work very well (maybe I won't draw blood using them).

by:

Ordered tires, metal tie downs, lug nuts and straps for my trailer.Aiways get quality products and prompt service.Would definitely order again.

by:

These tie down straps are have proved excellent when needing to strap down and haul my tractor into the dealer for service I'm unable to handle. This is the second pair I have purchased and I've been very pleased with them!!..

by:

Straps working perfectly. No break down in the material. Hardware functions properly and positive ratcheting function all the time. Hooks anchor well and stay hooked with no breakage.

by:

Well made straps that I use to secure sports cars in an enclised trailer. I trust them 100%

by:

I really like the design of the hooks on these straps. The only negative that I have is that they are only 10 feet. Erickson has some that are 15 feet but you can not find them.

by:

Works great with my side x side and my Spyder, straps over tires with no suspension compression.

by:

Excellent straps for UTV tie downs. They work much better and are stronger than the usual 1 inch straps. The ratchet mechanisms are great.

by:

Just purchased some trailer ratchet tie downs from ETrailer. Products
came quickly and I am very pleased with the quality of the product.

by:

Very sturdy construction. Purchased to secure a Honda CRV in a container for a trip to Costa Rica. I have no doubt these straps will get the job done. Thanks...

by:

These cables are very high quality and heavy duty. The ratchet mechanism is solid and well made, the hooks are rubber coated and wont scratch your attach points. These were a little more pricey but I'd rather pay a little more and know I have straps that will last forever.

by:

Very heavy-duty material used in the construction of these straps. The rubber finger holds on the ratchets make them very easy to release.

by:

Already had two that I have been using, needed two more so all four wheels would be tied down. Smooth working ratchet and the books will not mark up my trailer, good product.

by:

Good strong ratchet strap , jut what I needed.

by:

These are the perfect size straps for our work trucks. Just the right length for tying down oversize loads in the bed of a pick up truck.

by:

These worked great for securing my rzr in the toy hauler and on my open Trailer .

by:

very fast shipping, good product at a good price. I recommend E-Trailer to everyone!

by:

Nice medium sized straps for lighter loads. Still wide enough to go over cargo without cutting. The length is nice too for loads in a pickup bed.

  • Ratchet Tie Down Recommendation for Securing Vehicle by Axle to Trailer
Sounds like you are looking for a strap to secure a vehicle by the axle on a tandem axle car hauler trailer. A few of the part # EM34410 strapped around the axle of a vehicle and then back to a tie down anchor would work well.

  • Options for Carrying a 600 lb Scooter Behind an RV
Since the trailer hitch on your RV has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs, it is safe to assume that it has a 500 lb tongue weight. Trailer hitches are almost always designed to have a tongue weight rating that is 10 percent of the towing capacity. I would not recommend carrying your scooter with a hitch mounted carrier on your RV. In fact, most hitch mounted motorcycle/scooter carriers are not recommended for use on motor homes or RVs because the trailer hitch is further away from the rear...

  • Can a Hitch Extended Be Used with A Cargo Basket on Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Although a hitch extender or adapter such as the Brophy Hitch Extender For 2-Inch Trailer Hitches # HE06 will give you the extra clearance at the back of your Wrangler to fit your cargo basket, all such extenders also have the unfortunate side-effect of reducing your hitch's capacity by half. This is a result of the altered geometry that results from the longer overall receiver structure. In the same way that slipping a bar over a tire iron gives you more leverage to loosen a stubborn...

The Curt # 13530 is the lowest price option and so I recommend this hitch for your 400h since in this instance there's no reason to spend more for the same capacity. A total weight load of 300-lbs from your dirt bike and its carrier is within the hitch capacity but its also a good idea to check...

  • Recommended Tie-Down Method for Trucks On Trailer
With straps going from front of vehicle to front of trailer and back of vehicle to back of trailer, you are basically immobilizing the truck. If you were to run straps from the rear axle to the middle and front axle to the middle you are basically doing the same thing but you are putting more stress on centering the load weight. Both are methods of stabilizing and immobilizing the load, but the trailer will play a big part in what may be the better choice. Centering the load so you have...

  • How Far Apart Should E Tracks Be Installed On a Motorcycle Trailer
There's not a set distance that the E-Tracks like part # E19148 should be apart when installing in a one bike trailer. That will depend on the trailer dimensions, the weight of the trailer and where the best mounting locations are in your trailer. Are you planning on installing them on the floor or the walls? I am assuming it's a motorcycle trailer. If you are using wheel chocks, I would recommend putting the E-Tracks a couple feet on either side if possible. You don't need an exact figure...

The Tow-Rax Removable Wheel Chock # TWSPWC does not have a specific weight capacity because it does not actually carry any of the weight of the motorcycle.
