They look great. Well built, and etrailer is an excellent company. They shipped fast, packaging was good, and communication with the company by phone and email could not have been better.

Great product. Used it in a trailer designed for poultry and it worked great.

Looks great as a refrigerator vent on our '53 Airstream Flying Cloud. The aluminum is thin, but seems quality. I like that it has the option to open and close the vents. Just what we were looking for. Good service.

by:

This vent worked well to add ventilation to my aluminum dog box. I added two on the end; one for each compartment. The slide is very smooth and I plan to connect the two so I can open both from either side of my truck. Only thing that would make it better is if it had a template for the vent hole locations.

by:

Easy install fast shipping highly recommend

by:

I needed a cap after my tailgate slammed down on mine and broke mine, and cracked my plastic tail gate trim..ordered that too.. But anyway this installed in seconds! I picked out the broken pieces and popped this in w the help of a small hammer ..so easy and I had a strained shoulder when I did it, super fast. Shipping was VERY QUICK And COMMUNICATION was excellent!

by:

We used this to cover a small hole in the rock guard on the front of our trailer rather than replace the whole thing. Now we have extra ventilation too. Just have to remember to keep it closed on wet roads!

by:

I added this to the door of my cargo trailer, works great.

  • Does the Multi-Purpose Ventilator # PLR20 Come with Mounting Hardware
Multi-Purpose Ventilator # PLR20 does not come with hardware and there isn't a specific hardware kit for it. The reason for this is that it can be installed on pretty much anything which means the mounting surfaces can be made of different materials (wood, aluminum, steel, fiberglass). So rather than include hardware for all of those applications no hardware is included so you can select hardware that best fits your needs and matches what the surface material would require.

  • Can The Polar Vent For Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 Be Painted
The Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 is zinc plated aluminum so you would need to pretreat the vent to remove the zinc coating to prevent the paint from peeling off as the zinc reacts with the paint's binder.

  • How Tight is Seal of Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20
When the Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 is closed and air is blowing from outside to in there would be a very minimal amount of air that passes through. It wouldn't be a noticeable amount but it's not an air tight seal. There would not be noticeable wind noise though.

  • How Many Side Vents Should Element SE Cargo Trailer Have Added
I would use two of the side vents part # PLR20 on either side of the trailer close to the middle so that it can vent the trailer equally front to back.

  • Where to Cut 4 Vent Holes for Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20
To line up where to cut the holes for when installing the Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 you'd want to drill pilot holes in the surface that go all the way through so that you can line up where the vent will be on the inside of the wall and then from there mark through the holes with the vent open to give you an idea where to trim.

  • How Many Polar Vents Should be Used for 24' Enclosed Trailer in Southwest Florida
Since you have a 24' trailer and are located in Southwest Florida you'll probably want at least 4 of the Polar Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20; 2 at the top front corner of the trailer and the other 2 at the bottom corner on the opposite sides of the trailer. This will help to provide the most airflow, especially when you're traveling down the road. If you plan on leaving these vents open most of the time to help get rid of heat then I'd also install some type of mesh to help manage...

  • Recommended Trailer Vent and Fan for Outside Air in Parked Trailer
The Vent for Enclosed Trailers - Aluminum - 12-1/4" Wide x 10-1/2" Tall # PLR20 will allow outside air to flow but there is no cubic foot per minute rating as that would require a fan or direct wind for a vehicle sitting still. The fan you use will dictate that and the air flow of that fan will be lower than the rating because only four 2 inch diameter holes will draw air. I recommend the Flex-a-lite 12" Trimline Reversible Electric Radiator Fan - 12V - 1,105 CFM # FLX112 for your applicatio...

  • Available Trailer Sidewall Vent Covers
We carry a range of complete trailer vents for roofs and walls as well as many replacement parts that you can see on the linked page. From your description it sounds like you may need both a side ventilator like Polar Multi-Purpose Ventilator # PLR20 (12-1/4 x 10-1/2) and a Side Cowl Ventilator # PLR1715 (6-15/16 x 11-5/8). • Recommended Placement and Sealant for Installing Polar Multi-Purpose Ventilator PLR20
The Polar Multi-Purpose Ventilator # PLR20 has a lever to close the vent when there is risk of heavy rain (please see the linked photo) but the vent will block most water since it also has down-facing louvers on the outside. The lever lets you choose how much airflow you want. Using one at each end of the trailer is a good way to provide cross-ventilation and for the most cooling I suggest placing the rear vent up high (so it can expel more hot air from inside the trailer) and the front...

  • Could Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 Install on Floor
The Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 was intended to be a wall vent but depending on how you installed it and as long as you didn't step on it you could most likely use it as a floor vent. We don't have anything similar that was designed for the floor but maybe the # A10-3366VP would be something you'd consider since it's smaller.

  • Recommended Vents For An Enclosed Box Truck hauling Horses
The Vent for Enclosed Trailers - Aluminum - 12-1/4" Wide x 10-1/2" Tall # PLR20 is the largest wall vent we offer so it should offer your horses quite a bit more airflow. The sliding lever allows you to easily open and close the vent to adjust airflow. The aluminum construction is durable, lightweight, and corrosion resistant. The Multi-Purpose Ventilator - Aluminum # PLR20 will work to help you move air through your trailer. You may also be interested in the Side Cowl Ventilator with Screen # PLR1715. For the best air movement and still the weather protection, I recommend these side vents for the lower vents and then using a roof vent like # MA00-06401K if you have a trailer battery. • Does The Polar Vent for Enclosed Trailers Have An Interior Mounting Piece
The Vent for Enclosed Trailers # PLR20 would only mount on the outside of the trailer and would not have a piece to go inside of the trailer. I recommend using some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the mounting flange and non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around the outer edge for a waterproof seal.

Even the smallest RV air conditioning units we offer will require 115-volt AC electrical service of at least 11-amps to operate properly.
