Manual lift roof vent removes unwanted hot air and moisture from your RV's kitchen or bathroom. The fan circulates air like a ceiling fan when your vent is closed. Integrated rain shield lets you open your vent in any weather.
Features:
Specs:
The built-in rain shield surrounds the vent opening so that you can use it in rain or shine. The shield blocks rainwater and other debris from entering through the vent and damaging the interior of your RV or camper. It also eliminates the need to install a separate vent cover.
The fan guard protects your fan from water and debris when mounted on the side of your RV. The guard slides over your vent with the solid end facing up to block rainwater and allow run-off, while the slotted end faces down to allow ventilation. The fan guard also gives you peace of mind with small children around, as it provides the ultimate protection against accidental contact with fan blades.
The push-button handle lets you open and close the lid of your vent with ease - no hand-cranking needed. Simply push the button and push up to open the lid, or pull down to close the lid. Releasing the button automatically locks the lid in place. When the lid is closed, it provides a seamless, low-profile appearance.

It works great to vent condensation out of our bathroom. It takes a bit of an effort to manually extend it to the open position and it would be impossible for a shorter person to open it. I’m 6’, so it’s not a problem for me.
Etrailer helped direct me to the MaxxFan 7500 I believe letting me know that I can probably use the wires to a near by light to power it and they went extra and sent me to videos and also a way to still use the light to with a special switch. I realized that the bathroom fan wasn't working too and an older dome fan so ordered this right away as it's replacement. It arrived in manufactures box and all parts appear to be with it. I also have the sealant materials so it's ready to be installed as soon as our weather up here in NW MT cooperates. Great extra mile answering my questions about installing an electric fan into a screen vent no power space but same size. So helpful to know it's possible.

These MaxxFans both the dome and the larger 10 speed has been helpful running a lot last summer to ventilate while making repairs to the 22 yr old RV wed just bought. Sadly previous owners not only neglected it but abused her too. Water damage that was ignored & didnt see until wed driven it home 550 miles. So we dug in and mold killers, wood hardeners, wood fillers, glues, adhesives and adhesive removers, windows out and reglazed and restored, etc. having these fans to help ventilate while the work was being done a BIG help. The fans were wired in just like we were told they could be. They both work. And having one that draws not only exhausts means the Dome Bathroom fan can exhaust as the 10speed fan draws air in too. We could leave them run over night to clear out smells too. A total win win. Ive heard several say they wouldnt need fans this fancy at all here in MT however they forget July & Aug. Mt even in the mountains can hit triple digits and even in the shade these fans can certainly help vent air that a Vent alone doesnt. We havent had time to inspect & clean the 22 yr old AC unit but for now these fans have been money well spent.
Very well made fan. Stainless screws and unit is heavy duty plastic. My old fan rusted to pieces. Literally.
I’m using this fan for some supplemental ventilation over my stove in my van — the van also has a 14” square maxxair in the middle like everyone does these days.
Installation was pretty easy- I bought a compass to mark the hole and cut with a jigsaw. The provided trim is fairly forgiving, so the accuracy of your cut isn’t crucial. My roof was a bit over 2.5” thick and after trimming the fan fits pretty comfortably at that depth. I imagine a thicker roof might leave the fan a bit awkwardly recessed, though this might not be an issue.
Operation is easy and pretty much as described. The mechanism that holds the fan open doesn’t feel incredibly sturdy, but also has been ample for the job. It just doesn’t feel super “solid” when it clicks into the open position. I do find myself wishing the fan direction was reversible at times. The fan also doesn’t displace nearly as much air as the 14” square maxxair, though given the difference in area I can’t fault it for this.
All-in-all it’s been good, if not maybe a bit flimsy feeling for the price.
I'll write a review once I get around to installing the fan. Why do you request feedback the same day I received my order?

Product is well made of heavy plastics. Easy to install once you get over the fear of cutting into your vehicle. Did not hook up to power yet to see how fan operates. Looks good on roof of vehicle.

Fan was installed as per the directions. Working as described. Would purchase again. The fan only has one speed. Added a fan control switch and I can now adjust the fan speed.
Great addition on my camper van. It is mounted on our side door and we use it when cooking inside.
Ideal for my application, no problems with operation.
Needed a smaller fan for our bathroom. Fits and works perfectly in our Rpod 180!
Was exactly what I was looking for. Was delivered very fast.

Product works even better than I expected. My friends love how easy it is to use. It looks like it was installed at the factory and totally belongs in my installation. When another needs comes up I would buy another one.
Shipping was very prompt and all arrived in good shape.
Haven't installed the fan yet - rating based on ease of ordering and quickness of processing. Thanks!
Everything as promised. Jane did an excellent job getting my order to me in quickly
promptly shipped, quality looks good and as advertised.
Fast shipping great price thanks
I installed this as a bathroom fan through the sidewall of my T@B teardrop camper. Works great.
I have two of these installed in our stepvan - they were one of the first things we installed during the build process, and thank goodness we did because they kept us cooler during the summer build. Easy to use, the multiple-fan settings are nice, and the exhaust feature can pull a lot of air. We don't have AC, so these fans make a huge difference in pulling out hot air and replacing with outside air. Great service from etrailer - I ordered the wrong fan the first time and they were great to work with in getting another shipped out to me.
Installed this 15 months ago, worked pretty well, bearings make some noise, and fan has slight wobble, but worse-off, just this week began to turn on by itself, and via the control panel would sometimes turn off when I pressed the power button, but most buttons just don't do anything when pressed. I had to disconnect the power, then re-connect, and, at first, it would be okay, but now it just stays on at a high speed when connected to power and unable to change anything on it, power, speed, direction.

> Now it just turns on when I connect power, and none of the control panel buttons do anything.
>
> It is connected to 12 V system 2 100 ah lithium batteries to buss bar and fuse box.
>What a shame at over $200 you would think this would last at least 3-5 years.
But, I suppose these days of cheap manufacturing and execs making more top dollar, well, we consumers pay the price.

This roof vent is a real game changer for us. It allows us to open and vent our teardrop, even in the rain. Design is sleek. Lock works well. Fan is excellent and quiet.
Negative first. BEWARE, the "white" lid on this fan is opaque, not translucent. It says neither of these words on the product page. I assumed it was translucent like every other white lid I've seen in person, and I got that thing well glued and screwed before I realized my bathroom is now a cave. If you want the cave look, or pick the "smoke" option, it's a good unit otherwise. The fan performs very well. It has extremely strong suction. Also, it's very quiet and when running, the blades visually disappear and overall it's a good looking design. Control is simple, but a little confusing at first with the dedicated off button (as opposed to off being included in the speed cycles). Side note, the suction is so good, I now know that I have a vapor leak from my black tank... Fun times.
I purchased this maxxfan to replace the roof vent unit that came on our camper. This new vent fan is whisper quiet and best of all it can remain open while its raining. The install was easy and it fit the original hole perfectly. Used the TremPro 644 sealant also sold by etrailer and the install came out perfect. Thank You! etrailer for quick shipments and quality products.
Quiet running, good ventilation.
And Etrailer actually contacted me 1 year after purchase to see how I like the unit. My orthopedic surgeon (knee replacement) doesn’t even do that!
Well packaged. Great installation video. Only complaint is that it was delivered 4 days after anticipated date, that isn't shipper's fault. Installation was a snap after I removed all the old sealant, etc.Very pleased with this product.

The vent fan is still working great and does a good job of venting the humid air while taking a shower.
