  • Tow Bar Lighting Recommendation for a 2001 Honda Accord
For tow bar wiring for your 2001 Honda Accord that will allow you to control the taillights of the vehicle you would want the part # RM-152. You will also want the # BX88206 to connect this lighting solution to your tow vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the tow vehicle.

  • 7-Way RV Extension Cord For Casita Trailer
I have the perfect 7-way extension cord for your Casita trailer! The Hopkins Endurance Universal 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way RV Extension Cord # HM20049 is a 8 foot extension that plugs directly into the existing 7-way. The cover on the socket is reinforced and has an easy grip that helps keep out dirt and moisture. It also has internal seals that offer an enhanced weatherproofing. I attached a review video link below.

  • Is there an Adapter to Go From Semi Style 7-Way to RV Style 7-Way Trailer Connector
Because the functions on a semi 7-Way connector are different than those in the RV industry a regular adapter would not work. Some of the circuits have to be combined so a converter is needed. It would actually be easier to just add an RV style 7-Way on the semi rather than making an adapter as described in the question you referenced. If your semi has combined brake lights and turn signals on the same circuits then you would just need a vehicle side 7-Way such as # 50-87-009 and wire...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring On A 2000 Dutchmen Lite 24QB Travel Trailer
Hey Brian, If you're having issues with your light signals then you'll want to start at the power source, which would be your tow vehicle's 7-way. You'll want to use a circuit tester # PTW2993 and test each pin of the 7-way to see if the light function is coming through. If not then you'll check your fuses. From there you'll plug into the trailer and check the light functions at the junction box. If everything is fine then you keep tracing it back to the light checking if there's damage...

  • Is There an Extension Cord Available to Extend a 7-Way Connector
The Curt Tow Bar Extension Cord w/ Socket # C39HR would not be the best choice for what you are needing. Instead you will want to go with the Hopkins Endurance Universal 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way RV Extension Cord # HM20049. The Hopkins Endurance Universal 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way RV Extension Cord # HM20049 is an 8' extension for your 7-way that will provide a female end on one side and a male end on the other.

  • Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to the Bed of a 1997 Ford F-350 for a 5th Wheel Trailer
We do have the parts needed to add a 7-Way trailer connector to the bed of your 1997 Ford F-350. To determine exactly what you will need we have to first look at what type of trailer connector, if any, is on your truck. If it came with a factory installed 7-Way at the bumper check to see if you can unplug a round connector from the back of the 7-Way socket. There may be some locking tabs that you have to disengage to disconnect it. If it is set up that way and the connector is round you...

  • Replacement 7-Way Blade Trailer Connector For a Appalachian Gooseneck Trailer
As I was unable to find any information on the exact quick connector used on your Appalachian trailer the only one I can come up with is the Hopkins Endurance Universal 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way RV Extension Cord # HM20049. I have noticed several people have eliminated the removable cord for one like the 7-Way # HM20048 w/ Junction Box # 38656. If you can send me a picture of the connector on the trailer I can see if there is another option available.

  • Converter to Separate Stop and Turn Signals on Trailer
I do not know what you are referring to by "semi-type wiring" but it sounds like you want to take combined trailer wiring circuits and separate the turn signals and brake lights. If so you will need the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196 along with Diodes # 38955, which are going to help prevent power feedback.

  • How to Make an Adapter to Go from Semi Truck 7-Way Round to RV Style 7-Way Blade on Trailer
Either way is correct. It depends on if you want to keep the semi-style 7-Way (if you need to tow that type of trailer) or if you will never be towing a semi-trailer. If you need to keep the 7-Way semi active on the truck, then you would need to make an adapter to get it to work with an RV 7-Way. For that you would need a trailer side 7-Way round, # PK11702, a converter, # RM-732, and a vehicle side 7-Way RV style, # PK12-707E. A semi-7-Way has separate circuits for the brake lights and...

  • 7-Way Extension for Towing Food Truck with 2003 Ford Expedition
Thanks for the picture of the trailer wiring connector you have. Based on that you are in need of a 7-way blade extension like the part # C56080 for a 7 foot long extension or part # HM20049 for an 8 foot long extension. Or if you are looking for something shorter you'd want the part # TLW6024 which is 24 inches long.

  • Installing 4-Pole/7-Way Trailer Connector on Newmar Motorhome
There is not an off-the-shelf adapter that would convert your existing 7-way flat blade to a 7-way and 4-pole, but there are some fairly easy options for adding a 4-pole. You can access the wiring harness leading to the existing 7-way, and tap in a 4-pole harness like part # 18252, which would allow you to use both harnesses simultaneously. The connector includes a circuit tester which would help identify which circuit serves which lighting function. Another option would be to completely...

  • 7 Way Extension For 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD
An excellent solution to your problem, would be the Hopkins Endurance Universal 7 Way 8' Extension # HM20049. This plugs into the existing 7-way, RV-style connector on your truck and runs to your truck bed to give you an easy-to-access plug for connecting your fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailer's wiring. Additionally, part # C56000 would be an excellent addition for your Chevrolet Silverado because it adds a connection point in the truck bed as oppose to the bumper.

  • Why Do Some 7-way Plugs Use Dual Contact Surfaces
A 7-way (female) vehicle socket like # PK12-707E has a single blade contact; these fit in between the dual contact surfaces in a (male) trailer plug like # 54006-059, # 277-000143 or # A10-7W10 and the connector (type BB) shown in your photo. Some 7-way male plugs will use a single blade contact, such as the plug on Hopkins 7-way extension # HM20049. This item's female socket and male plug happen to both use the single contact. Both types are compatible with each other. The Bargman Double-Ended...

  • Making 7-Way Extension for Truck Towing Two Trailers
You'd have to install the # 41157 on your tow vehicle which comes with a 10 foot long 7-way socket extension that plugs inline with the 7-way you have at the rear of your vehicle. This could then be routed on the side of your trailer or underneath where you could use a 7-way extension like the # TLW6510 which is 10 feet in length. From there you'd be able to plug in the 7-way of your second vehicle.

  • Wiring a Heavy Duty Boat Trailer to be Towed by a Semi
Getting the brake lights to work will depend on if your brake lights and turn signals are wired separately. As the # HM20049 isn't working properly, this is most likely what is going on. You will need to install the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter # RM-732 to get the brake lights working properly. This will convert your 3 wire electrical system on the truck to a 2-wire system on the trailer.
