Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Lippert Repair Kit for your Dual Rack Standard In-Wall Slide-Out. This allows you to replace those In-Wall Slide-Out gear racks on your slide out to make sure that it's rolling properly. You don't want to have any kind of grinding or binding up with those gear racks. So, if that's happening with yours, you need to replace them out so that you don't have a stuck slide out and you can actually use it and get the benefit of that addition on your trailer. They always make things really nice, opening things up. So you want to make sure that you can use it.

So, this is going to come with everything you see laid out on the table here. I'll go over some of the parts and roughly how it installs and make sure that this is going to be the right kit for you.So, let's take a look. It does come with both the top and bottom gears. So, both of these are going to go on one side of your slide out. If you need both sides replaced, you will need to get two of these kits, so just keep that in mind.

These tracks are again for upper and lower on your gear system. There should be two, hence the name dual. So, this one with the tab at the bottom there, that lip that comes out, that's going to be the bottom rack and this one is the top. I believe it will actually go this way, but of course, it's a good idea to match it up with whatever you have on your RV and install it the same way. Now, there is some cell or a double stick foam tape on the back of these.

If you peel that off, it'll allow you to mount that in place, but you do want to also fasten it down with some screws.There are pre-drilled holes there to allow you to do that. It doesn't come with that hardware or any screws to get that in place. So, you will have to pick up some at your local hardware store. The length of these two racks is about 43 inches from the very end to very end. We'll also get the shoe to go on our gear and then the V-roller.

Two of those, two shoes, several foam blocks, which will be used in a couple different spots and then also the snap clips to go on the V-roller arm to hold this guy in place. Now, my kit did come with two rivets. Yours might not, it kind of depends. Either way, it's not a bad idea to get a couple extra of these just because that's a part that sometimes it doesn't take and you need to do a second shot at it. So, I would suggest getting a couple of these guys just to make sure that you don't try to get everything installed and then you ruin one and then you're out for the other one.So it's never a bad idea to have extra of these on hand. If you do get them in the kit, you can just try to match these with whatever you can find at your hardware store, as much as possible to make sure that you've got the right fit there.
