Didn’t last 3 months the end came off and screw mess up where the jack don’t work anymore

by:

Worked beautifully for a Replacement for our customer

by:

I haven't had a chance to use them in a camping setup, but they were easy to install and in a couple of trial runs they work great. I was interested in these because they screw up/down from both ends of the jack. I believe this will improve the holding power of the jacks when deployed. My older jacks (which only had 1 screw point) would tend to back off during an extended camp stay.

Excellent. I believe they are stronger than the OEMs and have a higher lift height.

by:

It only took about five minutes to replace my front leveling jacks with these new bigger jacks. Awsome lift capability and strength.

Great no problems

by:

These jacks are well built and have the extra height for uneven surfaces we were looking for. I find mounting this type of jack at a 45 degree angle to the frame is more stable than parallel or perpendicular. We used them all year and they are fine. My only comment to the maker is, something about the set-up of the threaded rod and 'nut' makes running them up and down take more force than should be needed, even before the base hits the ground and they pick up the weight of the trailer. They were that way out of the box. I use a battery-powered impact driver with a 3/4 socket to extend and retract, so no problem for me, but someone using the little hand crank supplied would build some muscles cranking them up and down by hand. I would purchase again if I needed replacements.

by:

Very Poor quality. One of the jacks broke the second time I used them. The nut on the end of the screw that raises the jack broke free. I was only lifting one corner of a horse traier (no horses in the trailer).
The Trailer leveling blocks work fine, just as advertised.

by:

These are a great inexpensive method to have leveling And stability system on your trailer. Easy to install and works great.

A year later and about six RV trips the jacks are still working great. Its not the same as having auto leveling hydraulic jacks like you see on big rigs. But for your 30 or less bumper tow these are very functional.

by:

An excellent quality scissors jack. I went with a 30 inch vice the 24 due to needing the extra lift in unlevel ground. They protrude about 4 inches on the sides but does what I wanted. I will replace the front ones sometime next spring using the 30 inch jacks also.

by:

Very low quality. There reverse thread. And when you extend them the threaded rod ends up sticking out the hex side.

by:

Not too impressed with the jack. It's built quite a bit lighter than I thought it would be. The side to side play (perpendicular to the "long" direction of the jack) is huge. With a bit of a lever arm the play is unacceptable. On top of that, on both jacks the center screw is far from being true. Both have a highly noticeable wobble. The nuts on the screw also came loose on both jacks after some usage.

The upside to this jack is you do get the 30 inches of stroke, though as flimsy as these things are built I'd be wary to test the 6500lb rated capacity.

by:

After a year, I found these jacks to be well made and functional. I camp in some unstable areas with a few Highs and Lows. The extra reach of these jacks is well worth the price. Of course, I have to maintain the screws with a little grease once a year. I fully recommend these jacks!

by:

Purchased and received within four business days. I installed them on my 2015 Jayco fbds fifthwheel as an upgrade. I had to drill 2 new bolt holes on each side in order to secure each jack with 4 bolts. The Jacks I replaced were 24 inch, so these Jacks extend an inch or so when raised but not any further than the fender flares. Overall a quality product and easy to install.

by:

Good price well made only problem is keeper pin wears out after a few years wish they would reengineer it.

Everything is still working great, thanks for the great products, and great service you provide!

by:

Installed these on the rear of a nine month old 44 foot toy hauler. Why you ask? Well, I got tired of the error and fault codes associated with the electric leveling system.
These jacks are heavy duty and I like the 30 inch option since this will leave plenty of jack unopened and I suspect will deliver a steadier support.
Mounted in about thirty minutes and looks/works great.
Electronics are good when operates properly and without error, but there is something to be said about the old manual way.
Highly recommend.

by:

I use these amidship to help the front and rear jacks. They add to the overall stability of our Sandstorm 5th wheel.

by:

Great product. Well built. Easy install. We have one touch automatic leveling system on our Grand Design 240RL fifth wheel. But still had movement inside the trailer. These scissor jacks did the trick. Very solid now.

by:

I added these jacks at the mid span of my camper (right at the axles). It made a huge difference in the stability of the parked camper. The prep uncles holes in the mounting plate made the install simple!

by:

I am more than happy with the scissor jacks, very high quality and easy of shopping of the web site is great.

by:

The one time I had a problem ETrailer was very cool about it and quickly credited my card as soon as the product was returned.. The other things I ordered were much cheeper then any other site I researched .. I give ETrailer two thumbs up and will order from them again...

by:

These stabilizers were a replacement for two on my toyhauler and have longer reach and are made stronger than the one's i replaced.

by:

I thought they were well worth the money. My only issue was I had to mount them perpendicular to the frame. I was hoping they could have been mounted on the frame work of the tongue. Since I had to mount them were I did they stick farther than I like, but they work great.

by:

Great jacks and very durable and easy to install. Must take into consideration the extra inch on each side once they are up and if you are using them on a trailer. They may stick out too much, therefore they will require special installation and even make necessary adaptations for attachment.

by:

Installed easily and they function as designed as well. They look cleaner than the factory stabilizers as well. I also like that they use a 3/4" socket to go adjust and not a special tool like other brands.

by:

Recieved my new jacks a couple weeks ago. Install was a breeze. I am very happy with the operation and quality of these jacks.

by:

Haven't installed them yet, but they look like they will do the job quite nicely... Great service & a quality product! Will do business with etrailer.com again I'm sure! Would recomend to friends for sure!

  • How To Level and Stabilize Class A Motorhome
I have a manual option for you, but unfortunately there is not an electric leveling system or stabilizer rated for the 25000lb GVWR of your Class A motorhome. In regard to leveling the motorhome you will want the FasTen RV Leveling Blocks w/ Carrying Handle # CAM44512 that you can drive on, and then to keep the motorhome stable when walking around you will want stabilizer jacks # UF48-979031 installed on the motorhome. These will bolt to the frame of your motorhome and keep it stable....

  • Scissor Jack Stabilizer Recommendation for a 7,000 lb Trailer
The capacity for scissor jacks is a static capacity which means that it can support up to that amount of weight but can not lift that amount. For a 7,000 lb trailer the Ultra Fab Scisso jacks # UF48-979031 that you referenced would work just fine. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.

You can attach these jacks to your RV by either bolting or welding. The jacks themselves offer up to 30" of lift and 6,500 lbs of support per side. • Adding Stabilization Jacks To Fifth Wheel Trailer That Uses Lippert 3.0 Ground Control
Yes, you can add two stabilizer jacks to the long tail portion of your Sabra to help stabilize it along with your Lippert Ground Control part # LC675817. I recommend the pair of 2 Ultra-Fab Scissor Jacks part # UF48-979031 to add to the rear of the trailer. You probably do not have holes in the trailer frame at the rear of your trailer so you will most likely need to drill into the support brace of the trailer frame to attach the brackets of the jacks. • Reducing Movement in a 5th Wheel Trailer While Parked
Movement is normal when it isn't controlled. But when stabilization products are used then the movement can be reduced if not eliminated. You mentioned that you have tried things to correct this problem but did not mention what those things were so some of my recommendations may be something you have already tried. First we have to determine the nature of the movement. Is it side to side, front to back, or both? The front to back movement can result from slight movement at the trailer...

Based on what you have now with the part # UF48-979031 which are the correct size and rating for your trailer I would say that what you had prior was way too small. This makes sense when you consider that the smaller ones ended up bending and getting damaged.

I reached out to a representative of Ultra-Fab who told me that the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979031 are made of 14 gauge powder coated steel. They also said that what gives the jacks their strength is only partially due to the thickness of the steel. The strength also comes from the fact the metal is reinforced with a folded edge for added rigidity, and there are also grooves pressed into the metal which help fortify them. These jacks have a 6,500 lb support capacity and you...

There's no reason why you couldn't use the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979031 scissor jacks to stabilize your RV when it's parked. Keep in mind these aren't meant to jack the RV off the ground, but are meant to keep the vehicle stable while you move around within it. The jacks can be welded on or bolted in place, your choice. If you get a measurement less than 24" the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jack - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs # UF48-979006 would be a great choice as it offers up to 24" lift to stabilize your trailer.
