Video Transcript for Ultra-Fab Scissor Jack Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter Review

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Ultra-Fab speed socket power drill adapter for scissor jacks, part is UF48-979005.Here's what your adapter is going to look like. It's really straight forward setup. This is going to work with any drill that has a minimum opening of 3/8 of an inch, or it can even go into 1/4 inch bit drivers, so it's a pretty versatile setup. Basically, we're going to place it in whatever power tool we want to use, tighten that chuck down, it goes down on it. Then, we can operate our jacks. One thing to keep in mind, if you are backing the screw out, what would traditionally be loosening, that's going to lower the jack. If you go into the tightening, or if you turn it towards the right, that's going to raise the jack.

We'll start with it in reverse. You can see, that's going to be much quicker, much easy, and more simple, than using that hand crank. Especially when it gets hot, the humidity's up, bending over for an extended period of time is not something you want to do. This has been designed to work with the Ultra-Fab scissor jacks, of course, but it'll work with any scissor jack that uses a 3/4 inch socket, here on the end. Now, to raise it back up, would be the opposite process.

Turn our drill so it's tightening, and you can see right up in that stored position. Now, some scissor jacks are going to have a pin that goes through a circle, or there's going to be a flattened tab with a hole in it for J hook to go in. This isn't going to work for those applications, so that's something to keep in mind. That'll complete our look at the Ultra-Fab speed socket power drill adapter for scissor jacks.

exactly what i expected

by:

Works as designed!

by:

Just good.

by:

If you have or use scissor jacks under your RV, you'll love this accessory. Just insert it in your cordless drill and in seconds you'll have your jacks extended or retracted. This is a must have! Having a hand crank in addition is also a must to tweak the jacks extension height or if your drill battery dies.

This is an absolute must have!. It makes running them and taking them down a breeze.

Great fit!!!!

by:

Excellent product - it was just what I needed - thanks for the quick service - this will be a real benefit to me as I have had a stroke and need the assistance in lowering my trailer jacks ... suggest and add-on of axle grease for the jack screws..

Works great - used several times - so much easier to set up the trailer now

by:

Easy to mount

by:

Great 2nd socket to have as a spare.

by:

Just the right amount of extension to more easily deploy my leveling jacks.

Still does the job.

by:

Purchased as a spare. Current one is one-piece and a real time saver.

by:

Couldn't do without this tool. Makes operating the trailer stabilizers quick and easy.

works great!

by:

I needed some front end stabilizers for our 19 ft Jayco. These work perfectly... ot too heavy and not too light.

by:

etrailer is my go to place when I need something that they sell

by:

This socket saves a ton of time setting up and taking down my stabilizer jacks with the drill that I keep in my trailer. I can recommend it to anyone who would rather spend their time playing when camping instead of working.

by:

I am very happy with the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks. It works just as advertised. I own a cordless impact driver and experimented with chucking up a 3/4" socket to raise and lower the jacks. Don't do it that way! You stand in jeopardy of damaging the jack. Using a convention cordless drill-driver to slowly spin the fitting still requires caution, but is much better. Just remember; once the jack makes contact with the ground, switch over to hand cranking the last few revs. to firm up.

by:

Very handy piece of equipment to make RVing easier. Appears well made but a tad on the pricey side for the convenience.

by:

I use this in my drill to quickly adjust the weight distribution on my Hensley hitch. Saves time and effort a wrench would require.

by:

I bought 2 sets of the 24" ultra-fab scissor jacks and the speed socket. My small 12v cordless drill runs these up and down just fine.
I am looking forward to the reduced movement in my large fifth wheel trailer while these jacks are deployed.

by:

Lifts quickly with impact wrench.

Never used it

by:

This well made adapter is perfect for using my cordless drill to lower & raise our stabilizer jacks.
It's well made and very reasonably priced.

by:

This is a life safer for me. Using the drill adapter attached to a portable electric drill makes lowering and raising the four stabilizers on my trailer a breeze. No stress on my back or knees being bent over for what at times seems forever cranking by hand.

by:

Another great order from etrailer.com. My ordering was simple, the shipping was much faster than expected. The communication from them was solid, every step of process someone sent me an update.

Extremely happy with this supplier.

by:

Thank you for promptly packing and shipping my order. It arrived a day earlier than expected!

This product will be a BIG help lowering and raising the RV stabilizers. You offered the best solution at the best price - plus outstanding delivery!

by:

1. The product is excellent! The product information says it is 10 times faster. I say 20 times faster and takes 0 effort. No more squatting over, cranking away in the heat and humidity. 5 seconds with a drill and Bam!
2. Etrailers price was excellent.
3. I used the more inexpensive of the 3 shipping options, which was $8 and it arrived in only 3 days.
Thank you Etrailer. This is my second purchase from Etariler and I will always check with Etrailer first.

  • Ultra Fab Stabilizer Jacks for Minnie Winnie Motorhome
The Ultra Fab # UF39-941704 is the manual version of this stabilizer. For the electric version use the Ultra Fab # UF39-941705 rated for 6000 pounds. The angle brackets screw into the RV frame. You may have to drill some holes. It might be possible to install a set on your Minnie Winnie 31K but there isn't a lot of space on the underside of that RV so it is possible, even likely, that the stabilizers will not fit. When fully retracted the stabilizers will hang down 5 inches from where...

  • Are Replacement Parts For Scissor Jack Available
I spoke with my contact at Stromberg Carlson about replacement parts for the scissor jacks we offer like part # JSC-24-IND, and they told me they do not offer any replacement parts. I recommend replacing your current jack with the # JSC-24-IND. This is a 5,000 lb leveling jack that has measures 4 inches when retracted and 24 inches when extended. The required crank handle can be ordered separately and that part number is # JCH-1. If you choose to use a power drill to raise and lower...

  • Can the Dutton-Lanison Drill Drive Socket Adapter Be Used to Raise/Lower the Roof On a Jayco Pop Up
I cannot say for certain, but I can say that the Dutton-Lainson Drill Drive Socket Adapter for DLB Series Winches # DL6456 is specifically designed to fit into the square tub hub on the 6453, 6454, and 6463 handle kits. If the roof for your Jayco pop up just uses a standard hex socket to raise and lower, then you'd just have to let me know what size it is and I'd be happy to find the right adapter for you. For example, if you needed a 3/4" socket adapter for your camper you'd need the...

For your Sure Trac ST9614 HLODOD-B-140 trailer I recommend adding the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 # UF48-979002. I believe these will work well to stabilize your trailer for loading. They can be adjusted using the hand crank or you can use the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks # UF48-979005 if you prefer. If you want more of a solid mount drop leg stabilizer that you would weld on, we have the Square Drop Leg Stabilizer Jack...

The Stabilizer Jack you came from, part # TJ01RT can be permanently mounted typically under the corners of your camper. Each jack has a 650-lb capacity and are sold individually, and are designed for a smaller RV than your View. The stabilizer jacks I recommend for your Winnebago View are the Stromberg Carlson Leveling Scissor Jacks, part # JSC-24-IND. • Can Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizers be Installed on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Cargo Van
Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer # UF39-941705 is designed for trailers but technically it could be installed on your Mercedes Sprinter cargo van. The only issues that you could run into are limited available frame space on the Sprinter and ground clearance. What I recommend is to use a couple of scissor jacks such as # UF48-979002 with the electric drill adapter bit, # UF48-979005 (to raise and lower the jacks fast). I would leave them detached from the vehicle though to eliminate...

  • Reducing Movement in a 5th Wheel Trailer While Parked
Movement is normal when it isn't controlled. But when stabilization products are used then the movement can be reduced if not eliminated. You mentioned that you have tried things to correct this problem but did not mention what those things were so some of my recommendations may be something you have already tried. First we have to determine the nature of the movement. Is it side to side, front to back, or both? The front to back movement can result from slight movement at the trailer...

The crank handle is not included with the jack. For the handle you would need part # UF48-879100. • What Can I Do For A Malfunctioning Level Jack If I Have A Couple Of Days Before The Start Of My Trip
My recommendation would be to replace the broken leveling jack, but it appears you might not have time to have it done. So I think you should get the Leveling Scissor Jack Set - 30" Lift - 10,000 lbs - QTY 2, part # JSC-30, instead. You will get two heavy duty scissor jacks that can be bolted or welded to your 2016 Jayco Pinnacle 36 FBTS. Each of the jacks is rated for up to 5,000 lbs. The etrailer.com Stabilizer Drop Leg Jacks # TJ01RT-HD are rated to 1,000 pounds per jack and would help with rocking, but can be a little limited due to having 6 1/4 inches of drop. The etrailer.com Scissor Jacks # e99012 would offer not only a higher capacity of 5,000 pounds per jack, they would also get you 24 inches of lift, if needed. I recommend these over the # TJ01RT you came from because they have a much higher support capacity.
