Note: This 11" wide carpeting is designed for use on 2x4 and 2x6 boards. If you use this on your 2x6 bunk boards, some of the board will be exposed on the underside.
Over time, the carpeting that covers your bunk boards can wear down or even tear apart. This can lead to scratches on your boat's hull. Replacing the carpeting periodically ensures protection for your boat, and it will also prevent your wooden bunk boards from rotting.
To get started, remove the old carpet from your bunk boards, doing your best to remove any old staples and bolts from the boards as well.
Cut the carpet to the appropriate length and lay it down so that the backing is facing up, then place your bunk board on top. Make sure that there's enough extra carpet to wrap around the sides and ends of the board. Then wrap the carpet around one side and staple it in place.
Once you're done with the first side, tightly pull the carpet around the opposite edge of the board and secure it with staples. Loose carpet can easily snag or tear, leaving the wooden board vulnerable to moisture or damage.
Once both sides are securely attached, tuck any extra carpet at the ends in tightly, like you're wrapping a package, and secure the ends to the board with staples.

Especially happy to find this high quality bunk material, sized to fit my 6" wide PT boards in a blue that matched the OEM. My original trailer bunks rotted out after just 4 summers of use, most likely due to the mfr wrapping the bunks completely. This carpet wraps around the edges but leaves a nice gap in the center so you aren't holding water against the board. It was easy to cut with a carpet knife or sharp scissors. I used adhesive to provide a bit of extra hold to the boards. Can't speak to how long the carpet will last, but hoping to get many summers of use.
This was just what we needed to redo the bunk boards
only issue was not having the right staple gun to install it correctly
Got the product yesterday and it looks really nice. Will no more when I install it on my boat trailer. Would have liked a 12" wide piece to cover a 2"x6" a little more, but it will work.
Received this order within days of ordering. Arrived well packaged. Product looks like quality material and am looking forward to using it to spruce up my bunk boards on the boat. It is a two part laminated material which looks like it will wick away water quickly and allow the bunks to dry relatively quickly. Very nice.

All products received are performing as advertised.
This is a good quality material and it shows no wear after a year on my trailer. I have some left over and have kept the information to reorder the same whenever I need to replace again....which might be a long time. Am very pleased with the promptness of the shipment and the quality of the product.
Carpeting worked out very well. Used it to recarpet the the bed rails of my boat trailer. It is just the right thickness to cushion the bottom of the boat. It wraps nicely around the bedding rails and overlaps perfectly so that it can be stapled to the underside of the rails. The boat resting on the rails and I are both happy!
My boat and trailer are in San Carlos Mexico and the water, salt, wind and sun take a toll on everything. Your product has held up well and I will continue to use I it.

The carpet has held up well even in the extreme conditions in Mexico where my boat is kept. My captain had no trouble installing installing the new material and the hull of my Grady White is once again protected. I will be a return customer.
Seems to be a good quality bunk carpet. But!!! Don't count on the 12' length being 12'. Luckily I ordered 3 of these with 2 12" bunks to cover and 2 4' bunks. 2 out of 3 were the full 12' length. One was 11' 7"
E trailer carried the blue color carpet that's hard to find. This is the best quality bunk carpet for a boat trailer.
This bunk carpet seems to be just what was advertised. I'm planning to use it in the side trays on my boat..The galvanised wheel and tire were quite a bit less than the white ones locally and with the free shipping it was a deal

So far so great. This bunk cover material looks like new after a year in the Kansas summer sun. I only wish I could do so well. Itbunk material is holding up magnificently. My pecks? Not so good. and they never even see the sun anymore. OMG
Durable product, easy to work with, looks good.
Good quality, easy to work with. I split it into two halves, lengthwise. I was able to cover two, eight-foot 2x4s and had some left over.

As I thought, the 12 width to wrap a 2x6 was a little tight, but it did work out just fine. After a half season with the carpet on my boat trailer, Im happy with the product.
