I bought a 2007 16' Carolina Skiff for $3500 back in December. The dealer said there was nothing at all wrong with it and he went over it and winterized it. I finally got around to putting it in the water and saw that the bunk boards were in terrible shape, with one side rail guide-on falling off. I took it to a marina repair shop and was told it would be cheaper to buy a new trailer instead of replacing the bunk boards. I contacted Ashley at etrailer about buying a set of bunk boards and all of the brackets and hardware for it. $370.00 later I had a full set of bunk boards and guide-ons being shipped to me. I don't think I could find a new trailer for that price. It took longer to remove the old ones than it did to put the new ones on. About 3 hrs later I had a new trailer. These bunk boards and guide-ons fit my boat and trailer perfectly.

What I loved: VERY solid construction. Never have to worry about this part giving out. Recommended u-bolts were a perfect match. Installation was relatively quick (counting removal of old roller parts and installation of new bunk hardware and bunks: just under two hours). Adjustable height of bracket and ability to change angle of bunk made it easy to match the fit of the new bunks to the hull.
Absolutely, would use this part and company again.

These are good quality U-Bolts however I missed the fact they only have about 1.25 inches of thread. Trailer rails 1.5" and you have a whole lot of space to make up when mounting bunk rails. 5-flat washers and a lock washer bridged the gap. Just plan on an additional $3/bracket for the flat washers.

You will want to use the following depending on bolt size: 1/2" bolts: 45 ft/lbs - 70 ft/lbs 9/16" bolts: 65 ft/lbs - 95 ft/lbs 5/8" bolts: 100 ft/lbs - 120 ft/lbs 3/4" bolts: 140 ft/lbs - 160 ft/lbs Since the # CE15283GA-8 is a 1/2 inch diameter you'd want to go with 45-70 and you'd be good.
