What Material Are The CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards Made Of?
Question:
Why do you use regular pine wood instead of pressure treated?

Expert Reply:
Pine, especially pressure-treated pine is commonly used for marine applications because it has been proven to be strong enough to support the boat and it holds up will against water and moisture. So pine is used on the CE Smith Carpeted Bunks # CE27820 for that reason, and if you are looking to have pressure treated wood, you can just get some at your local hardware store and wrap them with the CE Smith Marine Grade Carpeting # CE11350
