Video Transcript for Lippert Manual Scissor Jack Crank Handle Replacement Review

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Lippert scissor jack and spare tire winch tool. What this is gonna allow you to do is make it quite a bit more easy to operate your scissor jacks in case of, if you have a electrical failure or anything like that and have to do it manually. Or, if you just happen to have manual scissor jacks. This is gonna work with the Lippert-type scissor jacks and just about any of the other ones, honestly, as long as the part that you have to turn is a 3/4-inch six-point type head bolt or socket, I guess you could say, this is gonna fit it. So, you know, that's going to allow you to put that on there and lower and raise those scissor jacks main a little.

So, I mentioned this is also going to work with the Lippert spare tire winch and actually, today, that's what our customer is gonna be using this for. We installed that on earlier. So, you know, having this is gonna allow us to go to our spare tire winch, and in the event, if we get a flat tire, we're gonna be able to easily lower and raise our tire back in position. We just want to give you guys a few measurements, that way, if you need 'em you got 'em. My thought was if your jack happened to be way underneath there, you know it's just gonna be long enough to reach without, you know the handle hitting the bottom of your camper or your trailer, whatever.

So, from bottom to top overall length of this is going to be about 28 1/2 inches. And if you go from the bottom to where this starts to bend, it's going to be roughly 14 1/2 inches. And then the actual bend here, so where it starts to go up from the ground to the top of that is going to be about 6 1/4 inch. Other than that though, I mean, a pretty straightforward tool. If you're looking to just have an extra one or if you lost your old one to be able to operate those scissor jacks or the Lippert spare tire winches, this is one you really can't go wrong with.

And that'll finish up our look at of the Lippert scissor jack and spare tire winch tool..

When I took our Class C to etrailer, they used their ingenuity and installed my spare tire carrier in a way that I could raise and lower it from the back of the unit instead of having to crawl under it. That was incredibly ingenious and I was totally thrilled!!! Great job etrailer!!!

by:

Fast shipping Great service as usual.

by:

The crank will work, but not the same quality as the original. The original had metal sleeves/grips and a flexible socket pinned in place rather than welded.

by:

Haven’t really had time to open the boxes I had to have surgery on my leg. I hope to get out in my shop tomorrow.

by:

Handle does what it was meant to do, but our old handle had another grip at the end to aid in cranking instead of holding on to the metal.

by:

The items was exactly as described and what I was looking for. The service from etrailer.com was excellent. The item was at my door much earlier than I ever expected. The price was lower than Amazon where I do a lot of buying, even with the shipping.

by:

Perfect! Sorry dealer did not include with purchase of the electric jack. Just what I needed at a fair price!

by:

Received products with no damage, and in a timely manner,no hassle,no problem!! Thanks etrailer.com

  • Installing Lippert Spare Tire Winch with Cable
There aren't any instructions for just the Lippert Components Spare Tire Winch with Offset Cable # LC159056 at all, but you will need to find a way to bolt it onto the underside of your RV frame; the mounting holes are 5-1/4" apart on center and I have added a photo from a customer which shows how they did it on their trailer. There are instructions for the RV Spare Tire Carrier with Winch - 71" Overall Width # LC159041, which I have linked for you that will require you bolt to your chassis....

  • Can Electric Motor be Installed on Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack
As long as you are able to get the motor to fit the Lippert Scissor Stabilizer Jack # LC285325 I see no problems with doing that. Typically you'd use the Manual Hand Crank # LC285324 to operate the jack which has a 3/4" socket. It would also be worth noting the various dimensions of this stabilizer jack. I have attached some photos to this answer page for you to reference and compare with what you currently have. Please note that this jack is only meant to help stabilize your trailer and...

  • Correct Replacement Handle for Lippert Electric Trailer Tongue Jack
The correct replacement manual override handle for a Lippert tongue jack is the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate part # LC285324. If the photo you have attached is of the jack you need a handle for then it will work though I am a bit confused by the way you have described this. It's a simple hex nut is all. The socket will slip over the hex nut allowing the leg to extend/retract.

The Lippert # LC159041 isn't a RV-specific product. Lippert doesn't provide us a list of which RV's it fits or doesn't fit. However, there is a way you can determine if it'll work for you. We don't carry the Fastec FIC-3500 electric tongue jack or parts specifically for it. From what I read in online forums both parts and documentation for this imported jack are hard to come by. I was able to find the owner's manual online but it only identifies the manual crank by a part code "J" with no dimensions or details.
