Today we're taking a look at the ratcheting handle for Dutton-Lainson pulling wenches. The ratcheting handle works with parts number DL1602A, DL1802A, and DLX1900 pulling wenches. This can be cranked in a full circular revolution. The neat thing about the ratcheting design is it gives you better leverage and it really gives you a mechanical advantage, so it's going to come in handy, especially on steep boat ramps or from an awkward stance, such as trying to bring a boat in without getting your feet in the water or without trying to get wet.You can easily operate the unit, it has a nice ratcheting design. We're looking at a durable steel construction with corrosion resistant finishing on it, so it's gonna keep it protected from dirt, moisture, and the elements. Now I do want to point out that the ratcheting action only works in one direction, which is pulling the line in.
So this item needs to be used in applications where there is room to rotate the handle 360 degrees in order to let the load out. So keep that in mind.I also want to point out that the handle on the unit is able to completely rotate and it has these little indentions here, so it really gives it a comfort grip design, very nice and comfortable to use. This unit gets placed right over the post where your handle installs on the wench, and then it also comes with a nut to keep it secured to the wench.That's gonna do it for today's look at the ratcheting handle for Dutton-Lainson pulling wenches.

The retaining nut loosens and falls off. Can’t replace just the nut. Have to take the handle on and off. Have they made the nut available
