Axles flipped, and going down the road.

The axles that I ordered last year are still working out great. But even better than the parts was the service I got from etrailer. It was so great working with a company who took the time to listen to my project and help me get the right parts I needed, especially coming right off the heels of a terrible experience dealing with bad information and wrong parts from a competitor. Even with some damages in shipping, the returns/ and replacements were no hassle, with most issues being quickly resolved and not even costing me any additional downtime. As a contractor keeping a small fleet rolling, your competency and professionalism have made me a customer for life!! You guys at etrailer will be my first stop for trailer parts.

Received my parts today and after examining everything all looks good.
The quality of parts looks excellent and can't wait to start installing them.
Shipping was fast and arrived as they said.
Great company to buy with.
Will was very helpful and very knowledgeable about parts.
If you call would definitely ask for Will.

by:

Perfect fit as described! Uploaded picture for proof. So far i couldent be happier with etrailer.com, great prices and fast shiping. I haven't had an issue with anything so i have no opinion as far as customer service goes. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

by:

Not much to say, they are consistent and fit the axle tube well. Clean welding material.

by:

Fit perfect

by:

Perfect fit, average quality.

Products were as advertised, worked well and installation went as planned. Accomplished task - moved under hung leaf springs to over axle (tandem drop) on older horse trailer, to regain bumper clearance - new truck sits higher than old, also allowed extended goose neck to eliminate tail gate damage, while leveling trailer (nose no longer stuck in air). I would purchase again without hesitation.

Works as expected, Im happy with the product and results- would purchase again if I have a trailer in the future that needs a lift.

Got what i was looking for and got great input from Customer Assistance.
Thanks

by:

The parts arrived quickly and were an exact fit, thank you!

I replaced my leaf springs, drums, brakes and added the Dexter E-Z Suspension kit to my Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel trailer last year. This was my first time working with etrailer and I can’t say enough about how well it all went from the ordering to the install.
Tammie P did a amazing job with knowing what parts would work best on my trailer. Tammie also gave me updates on my deliveries that I appreciated. I had a trip planned short after I received my parts. So having someone at their end checking on arrival dates helped. In the future I will definitely use etrailer for all my trailer needs. Thanks again for all the help! Great Team....

Parts were Exactly what I ordered delivered fast will shop from this company again

I installed a set of these spring mount brackets one year ago and I am glad I purchased it from etrailer. I purchased it on line just to make sure it would work on the 1964 axle that I was going to weld it to in order to complete the install of a new set of springs that I also purchased from etrailer. Everything fit perfectly and etrailer is now my go to for all my trailer needs. George J. was very professional and knew the product(s) would work. And it did!

Thank you George and etrailer.

by:

Great product and great company to work with. I ordered regular shipping and they upgraded me to 3 day shipping an no charge. Very satisfied with the product and company.

by:

The seats were just what I needed Last year I moved the trailer
springs from the bottom of the axel to the top when I did I had
to turn the axel end to end it caused the trailer to wear tires out .
brakes to wear out .I am turning axel back and welding new seats
leaving hubs running right. Back to factory only on top of axel.

Thank You

by:

Product was exactly as described. Used the info on website for location of mounts. Couldnt be happier.
Awesome customer service as well.

by:

I am using two second hand axles for my trailer and the spring seats were in the wrong place. They were hard to find because I didn't know what to call them, but I was really grateful they were available. They will complete the installation of the axles and are sturdy and cut perfectly.

by:

Work great

by:

I had ordered some parts online to rebuild the suspension on one of our trailers. Customer service called me a short time later to inform me that they were out of stock on some items, they asked if it was possible to substitute some items. She was able to find the exact parts I needed in a different kit. The parts came within 3 days, very well packed, and they fit perfectly! This is the 3rd time I've ordered from etrailer and they have exceeded my expectations every time. EXCELLENT customer service and quality parts.

by:

Although I just bought a rather small item, the service was great, the person I talked with was friendly & helpful, and was shipped on time. We welded the spring seat bracket on the day we got them!
I was very pleased, and will hopefully shop here again, and tell others about your website. Thanks!

I recently started an new business and have purchased multiple products from etrailer.com over the last couple of months. I have been very happy with the ease of ordering and product quality. I initially ordered from several suppliers and have now starter ordering from etrailer.com only. They have the best pricing on the parts I purchase and am very happy with them!

by:

what i needed for special project; narrow perch for 1935 dodge dropped axle. i needed something i could modify for my project. received quickly and im happy, thanks

part still working. very happy

by:

rate the product great, because of the price and availability, was shipped fast, faster then I needed. These perches can go for as much as 7 times the price at trailer supply place in town. The bad the shipping was a bit steep, flat rate could have been a lot cheaper.

by:

the bracket helped raise the trailer 5 1/2" allowing for more clearance going in and out of parking lots but mainly off road into the mountains. Working alone the project took maybe 4 hours.

by:

The suspension parts were exactly what I needed. Always a pleasure to do business with etrailer.

  • Recommended 95" Long 5,200 Lb Trailer Axle
The best option we have for this is the Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles part # e63GR which has a 5,200 lb capacity, 95" hub face length, and 80" spring center length. If you need a different spring center length you can easily cut the old ones off and weld on part # TRSS300.

  • Availability of a Trailer Axle With at Least 5,000LB Capacity and 86-1/2" Hub Face To Hub Face
We do have the Dexter 5,200lb Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 8327816-EB which matches your current axle hub face to hub face of 86-1/2". This axle includes the 12" drum brake assemblies and it will increase you to the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. You will need to have 2 new Spring Seats # TRSS300 welded on at your 68.5" measurement on top of the axle as well since the spring seats on this axle are 71-1/2" on center and located on the bottom of the axle for an underslung design. • Availability of a 7,000LB Trailer Axle With 4" Drop 95" Hub Face and 78" Spring Center
It sounds like the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # 8327860 is going to be the closest to what you are looking for. This is a 7,000LB underslung trailer axle with a 4" drop. The hub face measurement is the same 95" with a spring center of 79-1/4". You can have new Spring Seats # TRSS300 welded in place at the 78" measurement. We also have the above axle with electric brakes and hubs # 8327860-EB if you need them as well.

  • Replacement Option for 5,200 lb Dexter Axle on 2016 Arctic Fox 25R
We don't have an exact match for all of your measurements but you can use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # 8327816 as a replacement. This is 86-1/2" long so it will stick out 1/4" more on either side of your trailer, something you won't even notice. The spring center is also different but that is fairly common when replacing an axle. What you can do is cut off the spring seats and weld on # TRSS300 to match your existing 67-1/24" measurement. Also, unless you're dead set on a Dexter axle...

  • Recommended Spring Seats To Install New 5200lb With Leaf springs ABOVE The Axle
I have an option for you, but we do not offer a 5200lb axle with the spring seats oriented so that the leaf springs are above the axle. Instead you will need to remove the spring seats and have a qualified welder weld new ones on the other side of the axle. For the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 8327816-EB you were looking at you will need two of the spring seat # TRSS300. I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.

  • 95" Lippert Replacement Axle w/ Replacement Spring Seats
I would be happy to help you find a replacement axle but you won't be able to find one here with an 82" spring center. Like you said you are able to cut and relocate the spring hanger and since you have the ability to do so I recommend the 95" long Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles item # 7359765 for a 3,500 lbs axle. • Upgrading Underrated Axles on 31-4BH Coleman Lantern Travel Trailer
If I'm reading you correctly, your travel trailer has a GVWR of 10K, but has two 3500 axles? If that's the case, your axles are horrifically overloaded and should be upgraded. Installing 12 inch brake assemblies (which likely wouldn't work because the available 12 inch drums would use a different bearing set than a 3500 lb axle) would provide better braking, but wouldn't fix the fact that the axles are underrated. Your best course of action would be to replace your current axles with 5200...

  • Spring Seat for Trailer Axle that is Getting Moved to Other Side of Leaf Springs
You'll need to weld new spring seats on the opposite side of the axle so that you can move the axle to the other side of the leaf springs. So since I don't know what diameter axle you have you'd need to measure to be sure. The part # TRSS300 is for 3 inch diameter axles that are normally between 5,200 and 7,200 lb. Part # TRSS350 is for 3-1/2 inch diameter axles like what are 8k axles, # TRSS175 is for 1-3/4 inch 2,000 lb rated axle, and # TRSS238 is for 2-3/8 diameter 3,500 lb axles.

The Dexter 008-480-05 is specifically designed to fit AL-KO axles. Unfortunately, the # 8-407-5UC3-EZ will not fit AL-KO axles. Since these axles are no longer made replacement parts are not available. The best solution is to replace your 4,400 lb axle with a conventional axle. The closest thing in capacity will be a 5,200 lb axle like the # e45GR which measures 86-1/2" long. You will need your hub face to hub face measurement to find the correct replacement. • Can 5,200 lb Axles be Replaced With 7,000 lb Axles
I appreciate the info, and while we can get you a higher capacity axle, a 7,000 lb axle can't replace a 5,200 lb axle because the hub-face to hub-face measurement on 7k axles is too long, coming in at 94 inches at the least. But what we can do instead is get you a 6,000 lb axle with the same hub-face to hub-face measurement that will also allow you to use the same hub and drum. You will simply need to have new spring seats welded on at your current 68-1/2 inch measurement; what you can...

  • Replacement Axle Options For AL-KO 4,400LB Axles w/ 85" Hub Face, 6 on 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern w/ Brakes
The closest axles we have are 86-1/2" hub face to hub face in either a 5,200LB # 8327816-EB or 6,000LB # 8327826-EB. This would require you to have an additional 3/4" of width added on each side of your travel trailer so you will need to measure it to verify you will still have the 1" of sidewall clearance needed if you have any outer fender lips which would cause an issue. You will need to have 4 new spring Seats # TRSS300 welded on to your 68.5" spring center. To get a matching size...

If you meant a 4" drop spindle when you said "with 4," the only replacement option for the same length axle would be a 3,500 lb axle like the # 7685269.
