Availability of a Trailer Axle With at Least 5,000LB Capacity and 86-1/2" Hub Face To Hub Face
Question:
I am looking to replace these axles with at least 5000 capacity ones. Have a hard time finding a replacement that will match the distance hubs and springs. Can you help. Im ok with going from a 5 lug to a 6 lug.

We do have the Dexter 5,200lb Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # 8327816-EB which matches your current axle hub face to hub face of 86-1/2". This axle includes the 12" drum brake assemblies and it will increase you to the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. You will need to have 2 new Spring Seats # TRSS300 welded on at your 68.5" measurement on top of the axle as well since the spring seats on this axle are 71-1/2" on center and located on the bottom of the axle for an underslung design.
To attach this axle to your current leaf springs you will need a U-Bolt Kit # CE23003 for each axle.
