Initial reaction is that this is a great, high-quality product. Only took me 1-1/2 hours to install two (both on the door-side) that had been damaged. Would've been even faster but I needed to modify the bracket that bolts onto the frame for the rear stabilizer. BTW, the two stabilizers had to be replaced because, as a first-time trailer owner, the dealership never told me to NEVER USE YOUR STABILIZERS TO LEVEL YOUR TRAILER! I hope to save at least one other person the hassle and expense of having to replace your stabilizers because you didn't know any better--I know now and will never forget! At least the new stabilizers are higher quality and really weren't difficult to switch out.

Still as happy with the product today as I was the day I installed them.

by:

I am completely satisfied with these. Easy to install and much stronger that the original that came with the trailer.

My only issue is a different style of wrench is needed than my 3 originals so I need to carry two wrenches.

by:

These stabilizers are much better built that the ones that came on the trailer. The lift components are sturdy and the screw shaft is bigger diameter.

by:

Product came when it was suppose to was not difficult to put on the frame You must realize I am a 74 yr old woman and did this by myself. The shocks were for the front of my trailer.

by:

Broad range of products with good availability, very affordable pricing, quick delivery and excellent customer service. Thank you etrailer

by:

received 2 stabilizers. just what I needed. works perfect. 10 min. to install

by:

Got our RV out this past week and put the scissor jacks to work. I did not bolt the units to the undercarriage of our RV because it does not have significant ground clearance. Once parked, I placed them under our RV (24' Sprinter Class-C), and they worked great for some additional leveling and stability. Which stopped all rocking motion while moving around in the unit.

The scissor jacks still working great. I put a little white grease on the threads every now then just to keep them lubed.

by:

Stablelizers are well constructed, these will add good stability for RV.Also, thanks for quick delivery

Stabllizers are very stout were easy to install and good price

by:

My 2nd order from Etrailer. Great quality, great price points, and fast shipping!

by:

Exactly what I was looking for!

by:

These have stabilized our trailer very nicely. We didn’t feel the need the install these they are freestanding.

by:

Heavy duty product. Well made. Will be.a great addition to my travel trailer

by:

As always this product from etrailer was as good as expected. I have a 2015 Jayco 1209 SC Tent Trailer and the jacks that came with it folded like paper when I went to stabilize the trailer (I did not attempt to use them for leveling). I ordered these from etrailer and they came quickly and were perfect. They self tapped onto the frame of the trailer easily and when I used them they leveled the trailer out and stabilized it with such ease.

I would also like to note that even though I can buy trailer products in Canada, when I really need something I need to be a sure thing I always go to etrailer and I am yet to be disappointed.

by:

Product arrived as promised, on time and in excellent condition. I am eighty years young and I have a tough time mounting my luggage rack to my Honda C RV trailer hitch receiver. Thus the need for the scissor stabilizer jacks. I mounted 1 each on the left and right side of the luggage rack, then with the ultra-fab stackable stabilizers, I use at the front under the rack tongue, the other under the back of the rack. Now, when I am ready to load or unload the rack I simply use my 14 volt drill motor with the ultra-fab speed socket power drill adapter to raise or lower the rack to the receiver height and just pull it off or push it into the receiver. Over-kill? Yes. But it serves my needs! The jack handle works great too, but that's work and I'm not used to it. All is well.

by:

Better quality then the original, easy to change.

by:

We installed these jacks on an older travel trailer that had been using only jack stands for stabilizing. These were simple to install and operate flawlessly.

by:

Very pleased. I was replacing 2 stabilizing jacks on camper because feet on old ones rusted and I could not find just feet. Ended up getting 4 because of price and put order over free shipping threshold. Jacks arrived in a very timely manner. Put them on the day I received them. They work perfectly. Thanks. Dennis

by:

They work just as you would expect. Why not 5 stars? It has to do with the crank handle offset. It is too big. If the jack is completely collapsed then the crank offset hits the ground. You have to extend the jacks a far amount before the offset does not hit the ground while turning.

by:

great price shipping was fast
Thank
You

the jacks work much better

by:

We bought this "universal" set for our R-pod. We had to do a lot of retro-fitting to get them to work. They are probably too large for smaller trailers, but I think the quality is fine.

by:

Great product

by:

Fast Delivery. Just what I ordered. Can't wait to install on my travel trailer to stop the rocking. I always use etrailer. The service is always Great and personal. You guys really care. Thanks.

by:

They worked out great. They arrived quickly and make stabilizing the trailer a breeze.

by:

Most excellent customer service!

by:

Easy to install and work great. A little grease on the screws but that's about it.

  • Recommended Jack to Lift a Trailer to Change a Tire
Trailer stabilizer jacks like # TJSCHD-24 are not designed to be used to lift a trailer and hold it up for maintenance. Their purpose is to stabilize the trailer while it's parked and no more. What you're looking for is a jack to hold the trailer in the same fashion one would hold your car to change the tire. For this we have several options like the Performance Tool Electric Car Jack # PTW1609 which has a maximum lift of 14 inches and can support up to 4,000 pounds. If you need an option...

  • Fit of TJSC-24 Stabilizing Jack on Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite Travel Trailer
The # TJSC-24 scissor style stabilizing jack isn't an RV specific product, if it's 2500 lb capacity and 18-3/4 inch lift and the pictured mounting bolt pattern is compatible with your Rockwood Mini-Lite, it'll work perfectly for you. Please note, the handle is sold separately as part # TJSC-24-HD but it's included if you purchase the pair as part # TJSCHD-24 for the 4 jack set as part # TJSCHD-24-4. • How To Properly Measure For A Rise And Drop On A Trailer
The receiver on your trailer generally can't be adjusted, however the hitch can be adjusted. In order to determine the correct hitch for your trailer, you're going to want to measure your hitch height. You can do this by, measuring from the ground to the top edge of the hitch receiver, then measure from the bottom edge of the trailer's coupler. You'll want to now, subtract the height of the receiver from the height of the coupler. If the measurement is negative, you need to drop the...

We do have an option for you, but I have added the mounting hole spacing dimensions of the Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/ Handle - 18-3/4" Lift - 5,000 lbs # TJSCHD-24, and as you can see, none line up exactly with your pre-drilled holes, although it is close, with two of the holes measuring 5-3/16" apart. The jacks that do have the spacing you need are the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs # UF48-979002, which have the two closest bolt holes at 5" apart as you can see...

  • How to Determine if Scissor Jack Will Fit Camper
The Scissor Stabilizer Jack # TJSC-24, which also comes in a 2-pack # TJSCHD-24 and a 4-pack # TJSCHD-24-4, is a universal fit so you would need to double check our measurements to ensure they fit your travel trailer. When they are collapsed they measure 5" tall and then they can extend up to 23-3/4" tall to help stabilize your trailer. I am attaching a link to our returns policy that you can reference in regards to your question about a possible return.

  • Can Scissor Jacks Be Mounted Directly In Line With Trailer Frame Beam
The Scissor Stabilizer Jacks w/ Handle # TJSCHD-24 are typically mounted perpendicular to the beam but you can definitely still mount them inline with the beam. The only problem you might run into is trying to get it mounted to the frame since the brackets might not line up well with the flange of the beam, but you can just have them welded in place and then you won't have to worry.

  • Can Trailer Stabilizer Scissor Jacks be Used to Lift a Trailer
Scissor jacks for trailers such as # TJSCHD-24 are used for support but not lifting applications. For lifting I recommend using a bottle jack such as # ALL620471 and then using a stabilizer jack to support the trailer at the proper height. Bottle jacks are great since they don't take up a lot of space and still have plenty of capacity.

These jacks have a 4-1/4" collapsed height and 24" extended height to give you 24" of lift. Considering the weight of your 24 fot Class C RV these Leveling Scissor Jacks, part # TJSCHD-24, should work very well for you. If you prefer the single leg jacks I would go with Stallion Stabilizer Jacks - 7" Drop Leg Travel - 22-1/4" - Qty 2 Item # 288-01892-2 which offer a 1000lb weight capacity so they should be more than capable of handling the weight of the trailer.
