I wanted one with a LED tester built into it to "trick" my SUV into thinking I had a trailer connected when really it was just a bike rack so the car didn't slam in it's brakes while reversing thinking it was something else. So I bought a different adapter.

The picture slightly deceived me into thinking this had LED tester because the plug is attached by a rubber string (that I thought was a wire). So add another picture of the other side and that would eliminate my confusion.

4 stars because it probably works the way 99% of people would want to use it for.

I see what you wanted to do however using a LED tester would not provide enough resistance to make the SUV think that a trailer was plugged in. Typically what I recommend is turning off the feature in the SUV when you are using the bike rack. I know it can be a bit of a pain.

Everything worked out well. On time and fits perfect. Attach hitch setup and my new Ridgeline.
It comes with a 2" inch receiver and I have a full compliment of 1.25. stuff from my previous car. All from etrailer i must admit!
so I needed the 2-1.25 reducer, a good lock, and the 7-4 reducer for my goodies!
Thanks for the grest service

great use it a lot

by:

I used this outlet plug to have 12 volt to power our shuttle pump on the water wagon to pump chemicals into our chem farm mix tank works really well easy to wire and very nice looking very durable .

by:

Works well with hitch and harness I purchased for e-trailer.

by:

It works, it doesn’t have indicator lights so it doesn’t make my Rivian think I’m towing unless I actually am. The cap is difficult to remove as it’s recessed into the unit, overall it does the job.

by:

This Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter is exactly what I needed and works great. I just used it a couple days ago, and after having it for over a year, it's just as reliable as day one. I highly recommend it.

by:

This adapter plugs in to the OEM receptacle without any excessive effort and the flat 4 pin connector on my utility trailer also plugs into the adapter without any excessive effort. As a bonus there is a cover for the 4 pin side of the adapter to protect it the elements when not in use.

by:

Does what it is supposed to do. Just make sure to push it in all the way for a good connection

by:

Just the adapter I needed at a reasonable price and quick delivery.

by:

Does what it's supposed to.

by:

Exactly what I wanted, received in good shape and on time!

by:

The trailer connector was easy to use and worked as advertised with no problems.

Still operating like new. Great product.

by:

Does the job. No issues, made well.

by:

Exactly waht I needed

by:

Best brake controller. Very easy to install and use.

by:

Fit perfectly on my 2020 Sprinter trailer plug in. It adapted my 4 prong flat connector for my bicycle carrier lights

by:

I have bought several items from etrailer that are high quality, affordable and sometimes not available in my area.

by:

First time buying a tow bar. Great experience with Jesse at errailer. etrailer videos are excellent.

by:

Although I am commenting on this product, I actually would like to comment on the following products. I purchased a brake system, tow bar, base plates and wire harness from etrailer. All of my orders were filled in a timely manner. When I reached out for technical assistance, the advisors were readily accessible. All of the products were installed by me. All of the products were very easy to install by using the video and instructions.

by:

This will work on my trailer but need a plug that will fit in here so I can plug the 7 way pole into it.

I am happy to locate the plug that you need, however I was uncertain of what you are looking for. Are you looking to add a 7 way to your trailer?

by:

Easy to plug in and remove. Works great.

by:

Received the replacement item in record time. I will check out the ability to allow the ML350 to light the LED equipped trailer.

Cheers,

Gary

Continues to work as advertised!

by:

Good quality and the connections are snug and won’t come out too easily.

by:

Once I got the receptacle for my 2021 VW ID.4 I needed the convert. This is retained nicely by the door on the receptacle so that it does not fall off enroute.

by:

The adapter works GREAT and the shipping was very fast! Thank you!!!!

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver and 7-Way Vehicle Wiring Harness For a 2023 Ford Ranger
Yes, we do have both. I recommend using the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63ZR on your 2023 Ford Ranger. This receiver is made in the USA and comes with a lifetime warranty. It is rated for up to 6,000lbs trailer weight and 900lbs of tongue weight. If you are using with a weight distribution hitch trailer weight increases to 8,000lbs. Do be sure to not exceed any towing capacities given by Ford for your Ranger. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56431 will give you a...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver and Vehicle Wiring Harness Confirmed To Fit a 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz
Yes, we do have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23WR which has been confirmed to fit your 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz. I do recommend also installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C68JR when you install the receiver. This will give you the larger 7-blade connection or you can use the Adapter # PK12716 if you are towing a smaller trailer with only a 4-way flat connector.

  • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2017 Chevrolet Traverse
The only significant difference between the Draw-Tite # 75528 and the Curt # 13424 is the capacity. Since both of these far exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle that really doesn't make a difference. If I were to recommend a hitch for your 2017 Chevy Traverse it actually wouldn't be either of these. Instead, I would choose the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98863. This hitch has the same design and capacity as the Curt. What sets it apart from the other two is the matte black...

  • Parts Needed For 7-Way and Brake Controller On 2022 Ford Bronco
It sounds like you want to install the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # TK55VR on your 2022 Ford Bronco. This will add a 7-way wiring connection and also includes a wiring harness to install a brake controller should you need one. If you think you might tow a trailer with a 4-way, I also recommend grabbing the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716. If you aren't towing a trailer with brakes, there is no need to add a brake controller....

For a simple 7-way to 4-way adapter you would want the part # PK12716. This will plug right into the 7-way you sent in a picture of and will provide you with a 4-way. Since your tow vehicle is a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan you may need to use the # C35FR. This adapter would be needed instead if your trailer has LED taillights on it.

Your 2013 Audi Q7 should have a factory 7-way installed on it. To install a 4-way inline with the 7-way harness you would want the # 118384. Or for a 4-way adapter designed to plug into the 7-way you would want the # PK12716.

The easiest way to have both a 4-pole and a 7-way trailer connector for your 2018 Honda Pilot would be to begin by installing a 7-way trailer connector, part # 118286 and then use an adapter like # PK12716 when you want to tow a trailer with a 4-pole connector. I've linked to videos for both these products. There's an alternative if you'd rather not mess with an adapter. • Wiring 4 Wires on Trailer to 7-Way Connector
Most likely on your trailer the brown wire is for running lights, the green wire is for right turn/brake light, the yellow is for left turn/brake, and the white wire is for ground. Because previous owners or trailer manufacturers may have installed different color wiring than what is standard, it is always a good idea to test the wires for function to be sure. So long as your connectors look like the ones in the accompanying photo you can use the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716, which plugs into your 7 blade and then you plug in your 4 flat. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56407 and Tow Ready 118821 will absolutely work together on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited to give you a 4-way at the rear of your Jeep to tow your trailer and at the front to flat tow. The issue on many newer German vehicles is when you are towing a trailer with LED lights, the power draw is not sufficient for the OEM trailer wiring.
