Quality Seems Great. I did incur a problem with this coupler being slightly wider than the original one that I cut off. This could be in part that I'm switching from a 2" coupler to a 2-5/16". If this is just simply because it's wider you may want to purchase a new bottom jack support plate to install with this. Otherwise excellent service and fast delivery from etrailer yet again!!

by:

Great company with phone support that is fantastic !!

by:

Item just as described. Perfect fit. The ONLY part bad on my old coupler was the spring that held the latch down. It would have been great IF someone offered a replacement spring for this BUT it is a welded unit and very hard to remove ANY moving parts. The coupler I ordered was perfect!

by:

Th coupler was installed, and as far as I know, we have not had any issues with this product. The trailer is used regularly to haul steel for our structural steel fabrication shop. Thank you for your excellent service. We buy all of our equipment & trailer products from eTrailer.com.

by:

Ram Products has great import product always very good quality

by:

Package arrived pretty beat up but the coupler was in perfect condition. ( except for the made in china )
Looks like it will work well for what I need. 2 5/16 ball and rated for 14k lbs.
haven’t had it installed yet so 4 stars for now.

by:

I need it. You have it. I order it and it comes. Looks like it fits. Couldn't be better unless they installed it too.

by:

Awesome service

by:

Other than being 1 week late because someone dropped the ball . Coupler looks good .

by:

Looks to be well made. Delivery time was awesome. Can't wait to grind off my vintage coupler and get this one welded on.

by:

Works great replaced old tunge when you would load something it would pop off the ball of hitch.

by:

Muy buen servicio

by:

Website easy to use. Found exactly what I needed. Very fair price. I needed the coupler soon so I used 3 day shipping. Came when scheduled. Was correct piece. I could not find this piece in my town. One of the trailer repair shops told me about the website. Will definitely use again when I need something for my trailers. Don’t have a picture but it looks like it did when the trailer was new.

Still great. Would recommend

by:

As described. Looks good to go.

by:

Exact replacement for my 10,000 lb (gross trailer weight) enclosed cargo trailer. I had a professional welder install it, loaded the trailer to 10k, and pulled it 2,000 miles. Works and looks as expected.

by:

Just purchased this coupler for the lowbed I am getting ready to rebuild. Like the look and the price of the coupler. Can't wait to cut away the mess the prior owner welded on. figuring the new coupler, jack, safety chains and wiring coupler box will make this a nice complete lowbed trailer to fill my needs for moving my 4x4 Cub Cadet tractor around for working on our properties.

by:

Arrived when scheduled have not Installed yet. Matching ball size to my other trailers.

It works very well. Replaced a 2 side hinge so now I have all 2-5/16 ball hitches.

We are very happy with our purchase and loving working with etrailer! The prices are great and items come quickly. Everyone at etrailer is always so helpful. We always get the small town feel when ordering from them. The coupler we ordered is exactly what was needed for our snowmobile trailer. Thanks!

by:

seems to be good quality at a good price. even with shipping was 1/2 the price of one from the local fleet store- very good value- prompt shipping excellent place to do business with.

by:

I looked in a lot of places on the web for this product and found it at etrailer for a good price on both the product and shipping.

  • Recommended 2" and 2-5/16" A-Frame Couplers for an Older Trailer
I took a look at your current situation and it's looking like there isn't going to be a replacement latch kit available unfortunately. Instead, you're going to need to replace the entire coupler with something like the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5210-B which is a weld-on style replacement that'll work with 2" hitch balls and has an 8,000 lb capacity. If you needed a 2-5/16" coupler, then the # CA-5400-B would be better suited for you. This coupler is also has a weld-on install and...

  • Can You Tighten An A-Frame Coupler Or Must It Be Replaced
If you feel the connection point between your trailer coupler and hitch ball is too loose then the trailer coupler will need to be replaced because there is no way to tighten this. The connection point does need to be loose enough for the coupler to rotate on the hitch ball but not loose enough where you have a bunch of play. If you are in doubt it would be wise to replace the entire trailer coupler for both peace of mind and security. In some cases, you can obtain a trailer coupler repair...

Therefore, in order to install an a-frame trailer jack like the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack part # BD155022 which has a 2-1/4" diameter outer tube you will either need to simply open up the hole you have another 1/4" or replace the trailer coupler with one like the A-Frame Trailer Coupler part # CA-5210-B or part # CA-5400-B. • Can Atwood Coupler Be Repaired on Vintage 1967 Airstream Travel Trailer
According to my research your 1967 Airstream would need the Atwood Repair Kit AT88061, but unfortunately Atwood has gone out of business so this is no longer available. To get a working coupler again you'll need to have your current coupler cut off and a new one welded on, for which I recommend the 14K etrailer A-Frame Trailer Coupler - Thumb Latch - Black - 2-5/16" Ball # CA-5400-B. This is a pretty standard coupler and will do a great job as a replacement for your current setup.

  • Is There a Way To Replace The Coupler on a Travel Trailer For One That Would Be Longer For Clearance
The only way I can see increasing the distance for your Coupler # CA-5400-B without major frame modification would be to cut it off and weld in the Shocker Hitch Channel # SHK95RR so you would be able to use their Air Cushioned Coupler # SHK73RR. I do understand this is still a major undertaking and may not work if you are using a weight distribution hitch. If you can send me some additional photos of your setup and truck information I may be able to come up with an easier solution.
