Is There a Way To Replace The Coupler on a Travel Trailer For One That Would Be Longer For Clearance

Question:

I have a 2023 Highland Ridge travel trailer. It has a 2-5/16 ball 14,000 lb. A frame coupler about 12 long. I added a 14 shank for clearance and still need more. Can you recommend a coupler that is 5-6 longer?

The only way I can see increasing the distance for your Coupler # CA-5400-B without major frame modification would be to cut it off and weld in the Shocker Hitch Channel # SHK95RR so you would be able to use their Air Cushioned Coupler # SHK73RR. I do understand this is still a major undertaking and may not work if you are using a weight distribution hitch. If you can send me some additional photos of your setup and truck information I may be able to come up with an easier solution.
