Give the this winch a 5 after four years out side in the weather it still looks and works like new. This winch works great and is worth the money .
The brake winch was a exact match for the one we were replacing. Fit perfectly and operated as required.
This is a great winch because the parts are machined within tight tolerances. We use them to hoist racks loaded with 3 boats to the ceiling to get them out of the way as they are stored. At first, we thought we should purchase some lighter duty winches because they were less expensive, we are now changing them out in favor of the Fulton brake winch.
We use these exclusively in a production environment where they are hosed down regularly. They last years and we have never had a failure. We replace them only becuase they eventually begin to stain but they are way cheaper than SS units.

They are doing great still!
We use these in an industrial environment where we wash down all the equipment weekly and these wenches last for years and are very dependable. In the end we only replace them because they get rusty, they never stop working. We have never had a failure.

We have been using these for about ten years. We have a harsh chemical wash down environment and they do well. We do have to replace them from time to time but no other winch we tried lived up to this winch for reliability, longevity and cost effectiveness. We will continue to use this model as long as it is available.
I had a warranty problem with a trailer winch . A call and some photos, I shipped the winch back and a new one arrived a short time later. Problem solved. Thank you
Replaced an old winch on my sailboat, this one is same model.
No problems, thought a couple parts should have been lubed since some were, but not big deal. Good service from etrailer, shipped separate parts of order with no extra shipping fees. Let me know by email what the status was, so would order from them again.
I ordered a Fulton winch a couple of weeks ago, for a crank over

Excellent quality and construction. Much heavier construction than similar models! Very quick service. Purchased to use on boat dock, replacing 2 month old winch that broke the first time we used it. Should have skipped the cheaper one locally, and purchased this one the first time.
Winch is basically fully assembled right out of the box, other than adding the crank handle. Three Grade 5 3/8" bolts, washers and nuts had this on my boat hoist in no time.
I needed a winch which I could control the load when lowering my amateur radio tower. This as recommended by etrailer fit the bill exactly.
This is one heavy duty winch and the braking system is great . Very happy !!

Bought as a replacement winch. The old one lasted 25 years!
I purchased this product to replace a worn cable winch that was showing its age. etrailer had the best price and shipped it super fast.
The winch works good for our application. We have a mini crane set up to raise dinghies out or the water unto the dock. The braking function works well for putting dinghies back in the water.

My customer has had no issues that I am aware of after one season of use. The same customer used both of them. The application was for two jet ski lifts
