Hello again, friends, Steven with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this Flint Hill Goods Hand Winch. Now, this hand winch mounts to your trailer with very little ease, and it's gonna help you to load your ATV, boat, or some heavy gear. It does come with a one-way ratcheting mechanism. It's got a nice zinc-plated safety hook here with spring loaded latch. It does come with pre-drilled holes for mounting.
It's made and coated with a corrosion resistant, durable zinc plate finish on the hook, and then the rest of this is a yellow zinc plate finish. It does have a gear ratio of 4.25:1. The drum storage is able to hold a 20 foot long by two inch strap, and the capacity of this guy is 1,200 pounds. It does come with the winch itself, with the strap, a nice set of instructions, the handle to crank it, and the nut and lock or the bolt and lock washer to mount for the crank handle. And as far as using this guy, it does have a lever here that's gonna let you disengage the gears.
And when you disengage the gears, that's gonna let you go into what's called a free spool mode, you can just pull it out very, very easy. And then to reengage that, you simply pull in the spring loaded lever and tilt it back down to lock the gear into place. And at this point, you can then crank up the strap. And I'm gonna try to do this without putting the handle fully on. (handle clanking) And again, it would be under tension, but it's very simple.
Let me get you a front view here, so you can kinda see how it works. (handle clanking) So again, those gears right there, they're engaging to the big drum and cranking it back in. Very simple to use, very durable, very reliable winch. And the handle has a nice heavy-duty plastic handle here with some grips on it that makes it a lot easier to stay in your hand whenever you're cranking it up. Customer service was amazing. Shipping on time. Product below average. Used to lift approx. 1000 lbs. Gears have started to strip and handle stripped off during first use. I bought 5 of these for identical use. 3 of 5 have same issues.

Winch works great...only complaint I have is I wish the cable was already on the reel. But these winch's are excellent...I have one an ordered a second one...now for the kicker...I use these to raise and lower a 30 foot mast with ham radio antennas are mounted to!!! Works like a champ!!!

Great. Made myself a Jeep Hard top remover.mounted the crank wench on the wall ran cable through 3 pullies and I can lift the hard top off without any help. Still works great....
