Includes a 20' strap.I welded this to my raft trailer and it has been really nice with the 2-speed when the raft is fully loaded after doing multi-day trips. It takes a minute to figure out what it all does but it does the job easily. The only downfall is that it's LOUD.
This is just the right winch that I needed for my application ( raft trailer ). Easy ordering process. Delivered as expected and simple install.
Outstanding strap winch -- as advertised and love the flexibility of two speed and neutral. Strap is sturdy as is the hook-- all around well crafted and designed. Perfect replacement for my legacy rope winch that was all but ready to give up the ghost.

Added bonus 1 year out was having difficulty keeping a heavy sailboat snug to the front v-stop the strap winch has proven very effective at not allowing any sag in the strap while pulling up the ramp.
Extremely satisfied with wench.A little more than what I wanted to pay but it’s worth the cost

Fantastic!
I'm sure that the winch would be an excellant choice, but it did not work out for me. The dimension were not given and it was twice as large as my mounting post.So I had to return it costing me the shipping charges.

The size of this winch is essentially a function of its capacity and of the fact its a two speed winch. If you can get by with a 1600 lb capacity winch, the Dutton-Lainson DL14521 winch is also a 2 speed model, with a base that measures 5-316 by 3-516 inches. Typically, you should choose a winch with a capacity equaling half the weight of your boat.

Used the winch on a boat trailer. Trailer has bunks and boat weight is 4500 lb. Winch is easy to use and pulls boat onto trailer with no problems. No issues at all. Would definitely recommend this winch. Heavy duty construction and good quality.

It works well the two speed takes a lot of word on getting the boat on the trailer
Decided to try a winch, 40% higher in price (with higher poundage capacity than I need than I have bought in the past - my oh my what a difference! An excellent value.
The overall QUALITY of the winch, gear ratio(s) make this significantly better than my previous winches. BIG difference winching the boat up on the trailer.
Only negative is that I had to drill holes in my trailer to mount because the hole pattern in this winch is not the "standard pattern" used by the trailer mfr. for the cheaper winches. Also, the etrailer site made the decision to buy much easier - a GREAT website!
So far...so good! On-line ordering was easy and at a good price. Shipping was quick and very reasonable. Communication back and forth was better than most. Got the winch and mounted it right away. Everything lined up perfectly. This is the same winch I took off the trailer which was a rusted wreck (poorly maintained). The strap looks a little light weight although rated for the winch...I may substitute a heavier strap. The boat is a 30' Zodiac Hurricane with twin 250's (and fuel). With new bunks with vinyl rub surface this winch will get the job done! Great shopping experience! Thanks!
I bought this 2-speed trailer winch to upgrade what I had. It will be used for a Hurricane deck boat and a trailer with bunks. The 2 speeds are a nice advantage when you need that extra little pull to snug the bow. Changing gears is very easy and the ratchet pawl is very solid.
It replaces the same model winch I have used for the last 25 or so years which became seriously damaged. It had not worn out. The old one had a shaft brake which was handy for unloading a rolling cargo. I transferred that to the latest model, which doesn't have one. I use a cable rather than a strap as I need more length. The trailer has transported early automobiles for many years. I am 100%satisfied.
I like to trade locally, and keep the revenue in my community. Unfortunately, my local retailers was about 35% more expensive. etrailer.com not only offers great pricing, their website is easy to navigate and they ship products fast. I'll trade with etrailer again.

I didn't know that Fulton's were now made in China. If I had know this I wouldn't have purchased it. Plating and strap do not look as good as the original Fulton it replaced. Price does not reflect a product from China. You can buy a made in China winch eleswhere online for half this price.
This is a replacement for my trailer winch and I have not installed it yet.

Put some nuts and bolts in it for god’s sake or at least make them available so I don’t have to go to town to get them.
