These first-generation Kwik-Lok transom tie-downs are a simple, effective way to secure your boat's stern to your trailer. The heavy-duty straps with padded buckles allow for rapid loading and protect your boat's finish. 1,200 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty tie-down straps firmly secure your boat's transom (stern) to your trailer
  • Seat-belt-quality polyester strap with Kwik-Lok buckle is easy to grip and control with one hand
  • Protective pads under the buckles and vinyl-coated steel top S-hooks protect your boat's paint finish

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 4' long
  • Maximum load strength (break strength): 1,200 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 400 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 transom straps
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Load your boat onto your trailer, open the buckle and hook the zinc-coated S-hooks at the bottom of the tie-down straps to the side of your trailer's frame. Then hook the vinyl-coated S-hooks to the stern of the boat. Pull the end of the strap through its buckle and turn the buckle down to tighten the strap.

Note: Transom tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of gunwale tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

I use these to tie down a playmate cooler and a tool bag in my Polaris RZR 1000 off road UTV.

Works Great

by:

Previous BoatBuckle I had for years the metal was all stainless steel. The new BoatBuckles obviously are not, as after a few weeks the metal parts are corroding. I'll have to keep a close watch to be sure they don't corrode through and drop my boat!!

Otherwise they are easy to adjust and look good (when new).

I thought they would be made of stainless steel as were my previous buckles, but they shortly were rusty. You should mention they are not meant to be used in a salt water encironment.

Thanks for the follow up and reply. These tie downs are zinc coated to assist in salt water protection, but a good rinse when you are out of the salt water environment would help prolong the life of these tie downs.

I doubt you can beat these straps for the price. As opposed to the stock/OEM straps, I really like the feel of what I would describe as a positive lock or "snap", when these are engaged. My only concern might be overall longevity/durability, as these straps aren't as heavy as the original OEM that I used for nearly 10 years. But again, at this price point, you can afford to replace them more often.

Thanks for the follow-up. I appreciate the great customer service. Our boat and trailer are in storage, a couple hours away, and we havent even made it out on the water this year. I will keep this email, and submit the update, once we finally make it down there. The heat and moisture inside the enclosed storage usually make for a good test on the durability of these materials!

Still as good as new! Cant be beat!

After 1 year still pleased.Thanks

by:

these were the same exact tie downs that came with my new boat. the boat was not set up correctly on the trailer so it cut through 1 of my straps. I wanted the same ones because they are so easy to use. I cut the strap to the length I need and the Velcro flap that holds it in place is perfect!

by:

Product was easy to use and tightly holds the boat to the trailer.

Just fine, no problems

by:

The main item I ordered was a rear light cover set. Someone had backed into and destroyed the cover. I was happy to find etrailer had the covers as the trailer is sixteen years old. The tie down straps replaced the old ones and I'm sure will work fine.

by:

I just installed these for the first time on my boat. They are replacing the original straps which finally wore out. I like the way the latch is easy to adjust to get a good tight fit. My boat leaves about one and half feet of extra strap that needs to be wrapped up under the velcro. I usually wrap the strap around the latch and then finish under the velcro cover. This leaves about 1 inch of velcro overlap once the strap is added. I wish there was a little more length on the velcro straps but 1 inch should work OK.

by:

Ordered the BoatBuckle Kwik lock tie downs and the Pro series swivel marine jack. The tie downs work perfectly and much easier to use than the single strap I had previously. The Marine jack was a very easy install and works perfectly.

The products were ordered on 8/2 and were at my house by 8/4. It was a a great experience and would definitely order again.

by:

The buckles are not as heavy duty as I would have liked. My old tie downs were much beefier, but the straps had started to decay.

by:

Great strap, feels firm, love the one rubberized hook.

E trailer is on top of shipping and customer service, a rarity these days.

by:

the transom tie down straps were exactly what I was looking for. They work perfectly.
Have also gotten a couple of other things from etrailer that have worked great.

by:

I added some extension to the trailer to install these. No problems, has worked great!

by:

by:

I am very happy with the quality and price of the product. I would buy it again...and of course from etrailer.

by:

Your product was higher quality and they are built much heavier and better than the OEM for the tracker boats

by:

These tie down straps are as good as they get, Priced right, too.

by:

Have not got to utilize the straps yet but they seem to be of good quality for the money.

by:

Good replacement straps, Had to re-do one as it came from the factory mis-strung.

by:

  • How to Assemble the Boat Buckle Kwik-Lok Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF13111
That is an excellent question and one that I am sure many people have regarding their tie-down straps. Quite often people buy tie-down straps and use them maybe a handful of times throughout the year. If something goes wrong and they need to replace, or in your case clean, the straps, it can be tricky trying to reassemble them. Especially since there are many different methods. I had some of these straps in stock so I pulled a set and made a video for you. Unfortunately Boat Buckle does...
