1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.

Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires

Bias vs. radial tire graphic

Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

This wheel was purchased as a spare tire for my boat trailer for future use it is mounted on the trailer at this time so I’m unable to make a comment on its actual use

As I mentioned in the first post I use this tite as a spare for my boat it’s still mounted on the boat trailer so it’s never been used

by:

Tire has had a slow leak since purchase. Needs to be filled every other week, or prior to taking out the boat trailer

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. This should not be something you have to deal with. I have sent your information over to our customer service department for them to look into a warranty. It seems that this wheel has a limited 2-year warranty; and the tire has a 5-year warranty. If you have pictures of where the leak is, that would be helpful for issuing the warranty.

by:

The price was decent. The tires came as advertised. The wheels came with imperfections.

by:

Received tires in good time, galvanized rims looked great, and fit the boat trailer perfectly

by:

Ordered the Loadstar ST205/75D14 trailer tires and galvanized wheels for my boat trailer. They arrived within one week and they look great. Much cheaper than sourcing them locally. Will try to update the post after a few months of use. So far I’m very satisfied.

I've been boating for the better part of 20 years and for the majority of that time I've made most purchases at local marinas and shops. When I did a simple search for a common tire I was amazed by the difference in price between my local shop and etrailer.com. The reviews looked were overwhelmingly positive so I went for it. I was absolutely amazed by the service, price and incredibly fast delivery time. Also, the tracking system was another major factor in making me feel very comfortable with etrailer.com. I'm back on the site tonight to purchase yet another tire as a spare because the other two look so good!! etrailer... you've earned my business and my trust!

by:

Tires are great! The rims are like a foil overlay but still look better than the rust buckets I had on there before! There are a great value and I got 4 tires for what I would have paid for two at a local shop. If you have every changed a tire, you can install these yourself. They come balanced.

Tires and rims still going strong! The foil overlay on the rims have completely worn off but I didnt get them to be pretty. These are a great value, super pleased still after a year!

by:

Bought for our travel trailer. Galvanized looks nice on the trailer. Were cheaper than the white rims, but still great quality. Tires are really nice as well. They came in in their own boxes. They arrived in good shape. I will definately be back when I need tires for my car trailer! Love the service and fast shipping. Was not my first time ordering with etrailer, and won't be my last! Great quality stuff. Best prices around!

by:

I recently ordered a trailer tire with rim and ordered the wrong size tire. I called customer service and Diana answered. Diana was a pleasure to deal with and solved my problem with no hassles. She also mentioned that she enjoyed customer service work and etrailer fostered excellent customer service.

by:

Exactly as expected. This is my third order of wheels and tires, and is as good as the previous. Delivery time was excellent.

by:

Bottom line- everything was exceptional from initial ordering and unbelievably fast delivery. Fastest delivery I have ever had and the tire were of exceptional quality too. E trailer has showed me they are the top in customer service and business. Thanks h by the way the price was exceptional too!!

The tires have preformed flawlessly in the year since I bought them no sure I even see tire wear. I use the boat trailer in saltwater and the complete tire and rim are still newer looking. Great, great value from a great provider.

by:

Excellent service and a great price.
Wasn’t
sure about putting galvanized rims on my camper but these aren’t dull and look better to me than the stock white rims, tires have an awesome shine as well.

by:

Received the wheel and tire within 2 days of ordering with free shipping. Tested to confirm that it fit the trailer and had it installed on the spare bracket quickly. Great option for a spare tire.

by:

Fast shipping, exactly what I expected. Great packaging. This tire looks durable and is an exact replacement of the previous one I had.

by:

This is da reel deal. We like dis thang. It werk goo. Git you 1 of disease,

by:

Purchased as a spare for my boat trailer. It's exactly the same tire as what came on it. These are Chinese so not a top brand, but the original tires have held up well for a year now. I check to be sure they're aired up before every trip and I believe it helps mitigate the blow outs you read about online. Hopefully I won't ever need to use it, but if I do and have any problems I'll come back and update this review. BTW.... eTrailer delivered this a day early. I have nothing by good experiences with them.

by:

The tires n wheels were for my boat trailer. They are excellent. I use my boat all the time. I take it regularly to my favorite lake in East Texas, a 400 mile round trip. Thanks for you great service

by:

Ordered spare tire and wheel for our boat everything matched perfectly and arrived one day earlier than expected. Couldn't be happier

by:

Ordered 4 wheels and tires for my boat trailer, got today and put 2 on when I got finished training at the Vol. Fire Department. Look great. Best price for hard to find items. Easy and actually surprised for an old school guy. So far, really happy and will definitely use in the future... Chief Mack

by:

E trailer has very competitive prices and well organized website makes picking the appropriate tire/wheel at this time easy and delivery was fast. Thank you.

by:

What I think is the LoadStar tires that were on our trailer for many years prior to this purchase where built to a higher quality than the Load Range C specification. However, the ones I received a year ago were NOT and didn't last past the first two months. One went flat on our May trip and the second on the June trip. However, I'm happy with etrailer's customer service as I was provided with Load Range D tires replacements and so far they are still good today. Our first long trip will not be until June this year. Fingers crossed, they'll be fine. However, I did purchase a second spare tire bracket for peace of mind.

by:

Tires and rims look good. Short delivery time.

by:

I love this company fast delivery great product. I’ve had to change all four tires on my trailer recently as they were getting old and got them all from E trailer.

by:

Great product. Just what I needed. Matched with a Fulton Spare Tire Carrier. A happy customer... mostly with the customer service of etrailer. Very professional... received trailer products on multiple orders recently. Fast delivery and outstanding follow-up and support from etrailer staff. Would highly recommend this company and their products for your trailer needs.

by:

5+ stars! Excellent customer service, received the tire & wheel assemblies quickly, and the fit like a glove. So happy! Thank you, etrailer.

Product Review: as advertised, great quality. This was the initial purchase for the build of our mini camper. So happy!

  • ST205/75D14 Boat Trailer Spare Tire and Rim
Thank you for the photos and we do carry something very similar to what you have, but not an exact match with the Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Tire with 14" Steel Mod Wheel # AM3S450. This is the same ST205/75D14, load range C bias trailer tire you have on your trailer, and the wheel is a close match but has just a slightly different design.

We definitely do not recommend mixing bias and radial tires on the same axle. You can probably get by with mixing bias and radial tires on different axles but we still would not recommend it. Also, if you plan on towing a lot we would urge you to use only radial tires. I have included a FAQ on trailer tires for you to check out.

  • Recommended 14 Inch Trailer Wheels and Tires with Closest to Car/Truck Wheel Appearance
Car or truck rims do not work with trailer tires because trailer tires are made very differently than passenger tires. Trailer tires have a much thicker sidewall and are designed to have the weight centered on the tire for the best load bearing and wear. The vehicle rims will have an offset spacing where the wheel connects to the hub. That does not work well with axles and tires that are not designed for that offset as it will impact your load capacity and your tires will not wear correctly....

It will get you close but the most accurate way is to remove the tire from the wheel, lie a flat board or yardstick across the wheel, then measure from the mounting surface to the bottom of the yardstick or board.
