Today we're going to review part number ST33AB. This is the Optronics sealed flush-mount rectangular trailer turn signal and parking lot, amber in color. Now this light is an amber rectangular light which will function as a parking and a turn signal light. It has a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. On the inside is a heavy duty long life bulb. It is installed in a shockproof socket which will guarantee long bulb life.

If you see on the back here it is designed to accept the industry-standard three-prong plugs. Now basically when this is flush-mounted it does require a mounting grommet and then the three-prong plug for the power, they are required for installation. If you already have them you can use yours. If not, we do sell them separately. Just to give you the part number of this is the grommet that is used that this light would fit into. This grommet is part number A33GB.

We do sell that separately on our website. It is listed as a related product on this light's product page. Then they do offer two three-wire pigtails. This one here is the straight three-wire pigtail; it's part number A45PB. The reason it's a straight one if you'll notice when you plug it in the wires will come straight out of the back of the light. Then the other one that's offered is the right angle three-wire pigtail.

That's part number A47PB. The reason that's a right angle is when you plug that one in you can see the wires will come out at a right angle from the light. Those parts are all required to install this on your trailer. Just want to give you a few dimensions on this, and again we'll measure from edge to edge. The length of it edge to edge is going to be right at 5-5/16. The height from edge to edge is going to be right at 3-7/15.

The depth of this light is right at 2" deep. Now what I am going to do is we're going to take one of these three-wire plugs and I'm going to hook it up to a 12-volt power just to show you the light itself. Basically you'll see there's the three holes. You just go ahead and push your plug in and it's all ready to go. You can see the three wires that come off. The white with the eyelet is for a ground. The two other ones, the red and the black, the black will be for the parking light and the red would be for the turn signal light. What I'm going to go ahead and do is hook these up, go ahead and hook the ground up. Go ahead and hook the turn signal light up and we'll go ahead and hook the parking light up. Now what I'm going to do is go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and we'll go ahead and turn on the 12-volt power. There you can see the parking lot, and then the turn signal light. You can see that's the turn signal light. The dual filament bulb, that's the higher wattage filament. We'll go ahead and turn off the power, go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights.
