For your 3-inch axles the normal spacing of the hangers included in the DexterTandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit is 29-1/2-inches. You can probably space them the 3/4-inches further apart, to a spacing of 30-1/4-inches, without too much impact on the suspension geometry.

However, you may be able to compensate for this change by using longer shackle straps. The shackle straps supplied with the kit are part # 115052 which are 2-5/8-inches long. We offer part # TRSL313 from TruRyde.

We do not offer the appropriate complete kit with these longer shackle straps so you can order the ones you prefer as separate items.

You may care to refer to the linked article for additional information on trailer suspensions.
