2-9/16" Long shackle link connects double-eye leaf spring to the rear hanger or equalizer on trailer suspension systems. Shackling the 2 components together instead of bolting them directly allows for the necessary pivot of the springs.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Shackle Strap. This Shackle Strap connects your double eyes spring to a rear hangar on single axle trailers or to an equalizer on multi-axle trailers. The connection allows movement to take place, ensuring an evenly distributed load between the axles. When it comes to the measurements of the shackle strap, the length measurement is actually taken from the center of one hole to the center of the other. So if we place a ruler on there and we measure the separation of the hole center on center, you can see that it measures 2 9/16". Overall length, edge to edge is 3 7/8.
Overall measurement going this side or this way, edge to edge is 1 1/4". The bolt hole diameter is 9/16" and it's made from a durable steel construction. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Shackle Strap.

Just want to say that e-trailer and the lady that helped me find the correct parts for my 5th wheel camper was greatly appreciated. I have bought a few things in the past from e-trailer and I will keep coming back. Oh, and the 8 shackles I ordered where correct and great quality. I'm satisfied with these new shackle straps. Made these old leaf spring packs new again. Added new bushings to the shackle attachment point and got rid of all the slop.

Just what I was hoping for. Great quality, using it for bracing (top and bottom) leaf springs on a '57 triumph TR3 that have broken rebound clips and needed heavy duty straps to hold things together. Thanks!

Exactly what i need for new suspension upgrade.
Slightly longer than original but with upgrade from 1000 # rated springs to 1500 # rated springs they installed, load tested, swing worked well unloaded and loaded.

I have not used the mdse.i got yet but it looks like everything is correct and appears to be good quality. I will say the service was excellent. I wasn't expecting the order for 4-5 days and got it in 2 days,doesn't get much better than that. The prices are acceptable also. Should make my old trailer like new again.

- Equalizer Kit Recommendation for Trailer Suspension that is 5-3/4 inches LongFor an equalizer kit that includes equalizers that are 5-3/4 inches long we have the part # AP233. This kit includes straps that are 1-1/4 inch though so you might be better off with the equalizers # TREQ104 and then the straps part # TRSL256. For wet shackle bolts you'd want the part # 126B2.

You would have to get the parts individually or get a kit with the proper sized hangers and shackle straps and just add additional equalizers.
