I had to flip this upside down and put a hitch ball on this to get it to work with my Dodge Journey and my camper. It's held up without issue for a half-dozen camper pulls. I wish the paint hadn't already started flaking off at the receiver end, but that's to be expected when you connect metal to metal. The other parts of this haven't started flaking yet after a year so hopefully it continues to hold up.1666674

ball mount had a nice coating on it before shipping. it was put loose in the huge receiver box. bouncing around loose it punched a few holes in the box and got a number of chips from hitting the receiver. it made the same damage to the receiver as well.
this is too bad. I went with etrailer due to great selection and install info. people shipping just don't seem to care about the product. it would have taken veary little to package this so it would not damage other items, but no effort was made to ensure shipping would not cause damage.1530598
