Today we're going to take a look at the Valterra 90-degree rotating waste valve. This part is a durable hard plastic construction. It is designed for a black 00:00:08 water tank connection. The 90-degree design is the direction of the tube. You can see the flow would be 90 degrees. On this end you can see there's a nice 3-inch bayonet end which is designed for use with the included bayonet cap that's installed or you can connect it to a drain hose with a bayonet fitting.
The bayonet fitting basically you can see is the 4 pins here that are on the tube and it hooks onto the hooks that are on the cap or your drain hose whichever, and it gives you a good secure connection. All you have to do is put it on, twist it into those pins and it'll lock it into place. The waste valve body which is this portion right here, it is a Bladex design and this is used to open or close the tube opening on the spigot end. You notice there's a piece of plastic in there and if you pull on the handle you can see it opens that valve. If you push it that'll close the valve. This is a rotating waste valve.
We say rotating because basically this whole valve body can be . The bolt taken out and you could rotate this to a position to make that handle accessible. Sometimes when you're putting in a 90-degree fitting it might put that handle in a position that's not accessible. What you could do is remove the nuts and bolts, rotate the valve body to what position you need. If you notice on the valve, it has a nice metal shaft here, uses a plastic handle. I'll give you a few dimensions on this.
On the spigot end we're going to measure the inside diameter. It's right at 3 inches. Let's go to the bayonet end and if we measure the internal on that it's also right at 3 inches. Go ahead and put the cap back on. That should do it for the review on the Valterra 90-degree rotating waste valve..

We normally don't write reviews but we have had our Valterra RV Sewer for a year now and wanted to share. We love the product, it works as it should and hasn't had any issues with it. We love the durability of it and being able to angle how we needed it to fit on our pipes. We have a 1998 International Converted School Bus that we use it on and we are full timers, so it tells you how durable it is. The price is affordable and shipping was quick. Customer service was excellent.

Well made valve was the perfect product for my replacement project with exactly the features that were needed. Moving to use of the SewerSolution System for one of my two black tanks that each have separate dump valves in separate locations. This valve shortened up the length of the pipe and valve placing the outlet at a more convenient angle for attachment and operation of the SewerSolution System.

Exactly what we needed! It arrived a day earlier than expected, saving a camping trip after our OEM part actually fell off our motorhome. It fit as expected, installed easily, and will be a huge improvement on our well-worn OEM one. If you're on the fence, just replace the part.

The product was explain to me by one of your customer service people. The only thing I would add on the description would be it has a male 3 inch side, so you will need a collar to attach to a 3 inch pipe.

After a year the Valterra waste valve is still working great with smooth pull-out from handle and best yet it was so easy to connect & install to existing pipe due to elbow & housing flange collar.
