Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV waste valve. This valve adds or replaces a 3 inch waste valve on your RV. It's made from a durable black plastic construction. It's going to feature a hub connection on this side and an MPT connection on this side, that's male pipe thread. Taking a few measurements of the hub side. Inner diameter, 3 and 1/2 inches.

Outer diameter is right around 4 inches. The threaded side, that's going to give us an outer diameter measurement of about 3 and 1/2 inches. The unit also features a black T-handle, which allows for easy operation. Just pull it to open the valve, and then push it back down to close the valve. The unit also features the appropriate seals to offer leak proof performance. A few measurements to go over with you real quick.

We're going to take a look at the overall length of the unit with the handle in the closed position. That's going to give us a measurement of around 9 and 1/2 inches, and then with it in the open position, that's going to extend the overall length to right around 12 and 7/8 of an inch to 13 inches long. Really nice design, it's also going to feature the connection point at here, so that way you can add a cap with a tether, and you can connect the tether to this pin.
