Roof vent arrived about a week earlier than expected and was packaged well to prevent damage. The part felt much sturdier than the original equipment vent that it replaced. Installation was quick and easy after watching the video.very pleased with the part and etrailer.

by:

These replacement lids are well made, strong, and easy to install. The directions that are printed on the box were most helpful. The vent lids that were on the trailer got smashed by a falling limb from a tree near where it was parked. The web site was very helpful in helping determine the kind of hinge that is on the vents on the trailer.

The vent lids are still holding up very well.

by:

After one year, still the same. Easy to install, fits perfectly and is a lot thicker than the original. I still expect this to hold up pretty good given that it bakes in the sun all day long and that’s tough on plastics.

Just went out and had a look, it still looks like it was new.

Only thing I regret is I forgot to take pictures!,
Otherwise, from ordering to tracking info to order follow-up, etrailer has been one of the best most thought out websites I've visited.
The covers I bought are far superior to the original equipment. They arrived well-packaged, in a timely manner, and I got regular updates as my order made it's way to my door.
I installed one of my roof vents tonight as soon as I opened the package, and since I watched the video etrailer provided on their website, I knew exactly how to install it. The only pain was that the trailer manufacturer got the hinge of the original vent filled with sealant when they sealed the vent upon installation. It took some careful work with a razor knife to free it and remove it. By the time I actually removed it, all the plastic of the original vent basically crumbled in my hands as I worked on it..
I still have another one to install, so I will take pics, and post again.

All in all, I'm absolutely satisfied and impressed with etrailer.com, and super satisfied with the products I purchased.

Good job, guys. You are a quality act, absolutely.
Thank-you.

This replacement lid is SO much more heavy-duty than the flimsy original one (the standard plastic) that was on my trailer vent. I was not sure which lid to go with, (old lid self-destructed, no markings on the vent itself) but a search for how to identify a replacement lid led to a helpful article/discussion on etrailer about checking the vent size and hinge type. Just what I needed. I was able to identify the right one, and selected the polycarbonate replacement lid with the center ridge (more rigidity and stability when traveling down the road). Fit as good as original, seals well, very sturdy. Doesn't vibrate or flap around at highway speeds (like the original lid did). Should last a long time. Thanks etrailer!

by:

I could not find an exact match for my 2011 Livin' Lite VRV trailer's vent lids, but chose these covers due to the Lifetime Guarantee and the unbreakable claim of the polycarbonate material of construction. The continuous hinge design turned out to be a very good match to my existing vents. The metal strut that is used as a track for the crank arm would have worked as delivered, however, it seemed to work better when rotated 180 degrees about its long axis. This is due to the orientation of the crank arm on my oem vents and the U-clip that fits on the end of the crank arm. It is attached by two aluminum rivets, so not a difficult modification. I am very happy with the result.

by:

This product is a vast improvement over the stock version standard on the trailer. Very solid lid.

Installation of this lid was very easy and straight forward. For those other DIYs out there, this is a multi step process. There’s resources on YouTube and Etrailer re: the installation process.

These covers seem to be well made and much sturdier than the cheesy ones that they replaced. The other standard units (Ventline, S107-311646) degraded after one year of use and some hail totally obliterated them. Don't waste your money on the $15 cheapos. I expect these units will hold up much better.

The slider rail on these was a bit different than the Ventline units. It was L shaped will the other were straight. Made getting the slider clip a bit harder to secure, but that's OK.

by:

The new White CAM40161 Polycarbonate Roof Vent was the perfect replacement for
the original roof vent on my 2004 HaulMark Race Tailer. The original piece was not Polycarbonate and I am actually surprised it lasted 14 years. The new POLY vent cover should last longer than that. Don't know if I will though.
It only took me about 15 min. to replace it, easy-sqeezy.

by:

Exactly the right replacement for my trailer vent. From the nicely organized website which made it easy to identify the right part, to the fast shipping, to good directions for installation, to quick, easy installation, could not be happier.

by:

I bought these because they are made from a different plastic from most, my stock vents were toast after 5yr cause I dont have a cover for my trailer, these vents are holding up very well and look like they will outlast my old ones

by:

fits great , great customer service

by:

I'm very pleased with the polycarbonate covers that I recently purchased. They are a perfect fit to Ventline lids on my old Caribou, and easy to install. I'm looking forward to leak-free adventures!

by:

We received our replacement fan vent cover quickly and it fit perfectly. The service and the product were A+++++.

by:

Perfect replacement for my Pace Trailer vents.
Appear to be much better quality than the OEM vent lids.

by:

I couldn't find any manufacturer info on my damaged roof vents, so I was reduced to comparing pictures of possible replacements. The pictures on this site were quite sufficient to tell me which model I should order. They arrived promptly and they fit perfectly.

by:

Good sturdy unit. It takes two people to install, one on the roof and one in the RV to operated the crank handle to make the connection to operate. Others no problem.

by:

Great quality & easy installation.

I
won't be on the roof for vent lids again!

by:

Was an exact replacement. Much more durable then the oem vent on trailer.

by:

It has worked out very well. Thanks to e-trailer and there group of people. Seems to be of good quality. Highly recommend

by:

I always depend on etrailer for top quality products and support. I'm sure these new vent lids will survive any future hail storm.

Yes by using the Replacement Lid for Ventline and Elixir RV Roof Vents part # CAM40161 you will be getting away from the polypropylene type of covers that comes standard and upgrade to the poly carbonate type. Most likely we have what you are looking for but you will need to first determine what vent you have on your trailer. In order to determine the correct roof vent, measure where the vent opens. The standard trailer roof vent opening is roughly 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" and have roof vents that measure 14" x 14". To pick the correct cover, you will also need to know the type of hinge you need. There is a 3 point hinge, such as the one on the Camco # CAM40153; a 4 point hinge as seen on the Camco...

The key to picking out a replacement lid for a standard 14 x 14-inch trailer roof vent is matching the hinge type.
