Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the replacement dome for Fantastic Vent RV Roof Vents. This comes in white, and this is going to be a direct replacement from the manufacturer for your roof vent on your motor home or enclosed trailer. This is again, a white polyethylene dome, so it's gonna filter the UV rays while still allowing in a lot of light. As you can see, it is opaque, so you can't see through it, but it'll still be bright enough to allow in that light to illuminate your trailer or RV.Now it does have the bracket attached on the back so that you can get that mounted up. The bracket itself is going to, or the hinge is going to measure nine inches in length. On the inside you'll see that we do have the little metal bracket for our stand, so this can be raised up to allow in air.
There's also a little rubber stop to prevent any damage whenever this comes to a close.So that's gonna do it for our look at the replacement dome for Fantastic Vent RV Roof Vents.

The old one not only leaked, but had discolored badly and this one lets in a lot of light and it's more sturdy than the old one, too. Very glad I made this purchase.

The dome is an exact replacement for an OEM domestic vent. The customer service is second to none. They kept me up to date on availability and when it would ship. Also, tried to find another in stock dome but didn’t have any.

Install was a snap. Will wait to see how long it last. Previous dome from another source didn't last past two months. Weak spot for both units (old and new ) appears to be at slide screw areas. Needs to be beefed up so screws can't break the plastic during operation.
Bought the lid to replace our broken one. After about maybe 1,000 miles of travel on the highways and about two weeks of average use (opening and closing maybe twice a day), the track attached to the underside of the lid broke off. Couldn’t find a replacement in SW Utah, so bought some epoxy and glued it back together. The repair is still holding after about twice the wear and tear. Like most everything else out there, it’s getting harder and harder to find quality parts. I’m guessing this lid is as good as it gets.
Kept me informed throughout the process.
Original had an inside and outside covering giving insulating factor and if outside was broken the inside was still sealed, its ok but would have ordered original if I had known

Bought this to replace a cover that blew off my 2010 DM T@B ceiling vent. It fit perfectly and the arm slider fit onto the arm which raises and lowers it --- perfectly.
But, --- and this has nothing to do with the product, I didn't understand about the hinge. The old hinge, the one that had been attached to the old cover, was still there and fastened to the trailer. I thought I could simply bolt the new hinge onto the old hinge and would be good to go.
Not.
We had to completely remove the old hinge and drill new holes to accommodate the new hinge. That required removing the entire fan assembly from below in order to access and fasten the new hinge.
Point is, this was not an easy replacement, even though the product itself is fine. It took close to two hours.
Broke with a month.
Exactly what I needed. Delivered in a reasonable time frame. Priced fairly.
Fit was spot on. I'm not sure how they managed to work solid gold into the cover, which is the only thing that would explain the cost
