When replacing gas shock on your vehicle or RV, you will want to make sure you are buying a replacement with the exact same extended length, compressed length, and pounds of force. This information is usually printed on the shock. Lengths are measured from the center of the ball joint used for mounting. Item was exactly as advertised, easy installation, fits perfectly on our RV door. Our previous gas shock was worn out & would not hold the door open. This product is sturdy & stable. It fixed the issue.

Overall, I was satisfied with the process as well as as quality and condition of the door opener. I was fortunate that the opener fit correctly. There was some dissatisfaction that your web site offered little in the way of cross-reference data for a direct replacement with the existing opener on my trailer. Also, considering that the item was in stock, delivery took longer than I had anticipated.

The opener is working great! The only drawback may be that the force factor may be a little on the strong side. A great product though, and I would recommend it.

The ball connector was too thick under my RV door so I had to reuse my old rusty one
Couldn't get the exact part I needed thru Amazon due to us being full timers and moving weekly. This part worked but I had to swap the connection off one end of my old strut onto this one so it would fit under the door.
I was extremely happy with my experience with eTrailer, especially the customer service. I had to return my first order because of my own mistake and while it did take a while to get someone on the phone, they were extremely helpful. Both orders arrived sooner than expected. The gas springs were for a engine hatch on a boat. It took like 5 minutes to install them and they are working like a charm. If you have a heavier hatch you might consider stiffer springs than the 20 lb ones. I would definitely order from this company again.

Was good product just what I was looking for
I received my gas struts today and unfortunately one of them slipped out of the box during shipping. I spoke with Ashley and explained what had happened and she asked if I wanted a refund or she would reship another gas shock.

Great product. After searching several shops locally with no luck, I was able to get these from Etrailer for my trailer doors. Great product and quick service.
THe snap on ends were larger than the original shock and wouldnt allow door to close. I removed ends from old unit and attached on new and all good now.
